Glass Water Bottle

I was initially concerned about ordering a glass bottle, unsure if it would withstand everyday wear and tear. However, I can confirm that it's a sturdy bottle with a beautifully coloured rubber protective cover. It has never leaked, and the seamless drinking surface makes it very easy to drink from.

Seal came lose and fell out, so it leaked, the cap thing inside, came loose and couldn't seal put it back...the worst thing I've bought on amazon, sorry!

I like the design but the bottle is no longer leak-proof. It was fine at the beginning but the gasket in the cap was not attached and sure enough, it eventually fell off without me noticing. Now the bottle leaks and alrady made a huge mess in my bag. For such a steep price, I would expect a tighter seal or at the very least - a bag of spare gaskets to replace.

I use these to carry my filtered water. Here in Wiltshire UK we have water which stinks of chlorine (bleach) and God knows what else is in it... I bought a Berkey water filter a few years ago and haven't looked back! You can get cheaper brands in the UK- I started with a simple filter.Over the past few years I have been reducing plastic use (especially with storing water) and these are perfect for on the go. Micro plastics have been found in human blood and even the placenta in the past few years.These are high quality and quite robust. Not the cheapest but lovely quality stainless steel lids also. Worth the price in my opinion. I have two and will buy more from the range. A***

I was initially really pleased with this bottle as it looked great and appeared to be very well made. The glass and silicone were both nice and thick and having the thread on the inside of the bottle is a thoughtful design feature. However, two things happened almost immediately. Firstly, as I tried to remove the silicone to put the glass through the dishwasher, it became apparent that it was strongly glued in several places to the glass. There was no way to break this without risking damaging the silicone. Secondly, when I washed the lid (by hand) and dried the inside with a tea-towel, the part in the middle which sits inside the bottle broke just from the action of the towel!I e-mailed B+B to let them know and to ask whether they could guarantee that a replacement wouldn't break and got a polite but underwhelming response. This hasn't happened before. They'll investigate and let their manufacturer know. The glass isn't covered by the two-year guarantee. They hope I'll 'give the product another go'.... But no assurances about why it won't happen again or what will happen if it does. Since this is supposed to be a good environmental choice, I'm pretty stressed about the waste of glass, silicone, metal and all the manufacturing and transportation costs involved as, ultimately, my effort means nothing if there isn't longevity in the product. Thumbs down, I'm afraid - disappointing.
