This is a kind and inclusive and beautifully made book. It's just as good for adults to read and think about as for kids! It's designed so that there are places that you can stop and talk about what's going on in the picture. I bought it as a gift and they love it.

My daughter and I love this book. We use it as an Eye Spy book as well as a story because each page has lots of bright colored and fun details and things to point out and identify such as the 7 birds for the #7 page. The 8 toys.. etc. We point out the animals, objects, colors ... Its a great bolk with thick pages and most importantly I love what it teaches

Cute book, but the number of items illustrated for 8 is incorrect. On each page, you can count the number of items corresponding to the number, but for 8, there were only 7 toys illustrated. I like going through each page and counting them off with my kid, but we can only count to 7 toys when logically we should be able to count 8 toys. Besides that mistake, the illustration is super cute and I like the concept of the book. Very cute.

I was really hoping this would be a book that would help my kids learn to count and also teach a simple lesson in kindness. The illustrations are okay but they're not super great for counting. Plus it comes down backwards which can be confusing. The kindness lessons are fine.
