I am witting this review because I was not planning to but this set based on some reviews that say Korean subtitles can't be taken out. Guess what. They can and I didn't need a dvd controller with a subtitle button on it. I did it straight from the menu screen at the beginning. The collection includes 10 Dvds for 15 dollars which was the amount I paid. I am just writing this review to say this is a great set, well packaged, great quality and great movies. The way the Dvd's come in is not like in other cases. But I think it won't damage the DVDs. My recommendation is to buy it.

Subtitles are easy removed or converted to English. Just use the DVD remote. 10 Marilyn Monroe DVDs for $15!

Some of the movies are classic and some I had never seen. Overall they were good movies to watch.

This collection of movies, although yes, a wonderful collection of Marilyn Monroe movies together in one package. There were subtitles at the bottom of every movie, and they cannot be taken off. Which really is a disappointing factor for a great collection of her work. The subtitles are in Korean. It’s not worth the money to buy this collection just to have the subtitles in Korean, the back of it is all written in Korean as well. Do not purchase this.

After serious consideration and reading all 31 reviews up to this entry, I decided to jump in and purchase this Korean set. First the price at approx $25 was just right and I ordered from a vendor who is local to where I live in Southern Calif. The vendors rating was around 90% and I was hesitant but figured that being only a short distance away I could possible avoid the broken spindle and scratched dvds.The product came fast and in new pristine condition, no broken spindles or scratches due to being loose in the case. The dvds did have very slight markings, not affecting play, but due to the way the dvds sit on the spindle and pick up the back side of the double flip dvd holders. Not a problem.The case does have a strong petroleum odor but I am used to that as I order alot of Box sets from Millcreek ent. Not a problem.Now for the heart of the problem; the subtitles! Well I could not remove the Korean subtitles with the built in menu in the dvd, doesn't work! But wait, If your dvd remote has a subtitle button that will work. I tried it on all the 10 movies, including the last dvd which is an HBO movie of 2 hours+ with actors playing a bio on Marilyn not a documentary.I checked all the movies to make sure they loaded and that the chapters worked properly, they all do but all have only 8 chapters and those that have a preview as a special feature of the movie will move into it on the 9th chapter click.I have only seen 2 of the dvds completely, "Niagara" and "The 7 year itch" both are excellent copies. All the others in color are excellent with the older black & whites are very good.I did notice that on Niagra as the camera pans left and right for an extended period you get a slight hesitation, but not enough to keep one from enjoying the movie.I noticed no off link with the dialogue on the above 2 mentioned, and I carefully looked, not a problem.As a final test I viewed a couple of the dvds on my Xbox 360, the internal index on the Xbox has a subtitle switch and that also works fine.Bottom line is as far as the set I received; If your controller has a subtitle button you can switch it off, but It doesn't work from the dvd menu screen.I normally don't write these long reviews but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dvds I received for the price that I paid.Hopefully others that want to enjoy Marilyn's top Fox Studios entries will give this set a try...nuff saidUPDATE: 5/11/12 Just finished all 10 dvds, my review stands, for the price and quality of the movies you can't beat this deal.

Good quality. nice to have 10 movies for the price. In product description, it already said the Korean sub-titles are not removable. So even it's a bit annoying, in general, I enjoyed watching the movies.
