Rock Band 4 - Legacy Game Controller Adapter for Xbox One

I did NOT expect this to work this well. I expected SOMETHING to give me a problem. I was waiting for it. When it paired with my 360 guitars so quickly I was shocked. Finally, something that has to do with electronics went right. THEN I was expecting some input lag. Nope. None. At this point I'm laughing. Do yourself a favor - if you already have a guitar from 360 and you want to get Rock Band 4, don't buy the new guitar too. If your guitar is in good condition and you are familiar with the way your guitar feels, then just get the Legacy Adapter.

I had to edit my review to note the cost change. I paid like $45 and I cannot fathom the price increase, it's not worth the price when you can buy brand new guitars for the same price. If you pay NO MORE than $45 then it's an Excellent device, it works with all my legacy guitars despite the brand it just works with no issues. Great buy.

Purchased this a few weeks ago. Have used it a handful of times with no problems yet. It's basically plug n' play. Took less time to get my guitar (RB2 sunburst Strat) synced up with my XB1 than it did getting my new Guitar Hero Live guitar synced/working. Once you are synced, you are good to go whenever you turn your guitar on in the future. As other reviews have mentioned, it seems a bit flimsy and not worth $25 in that sense. But I got a brand new copy of Rock Band 4 elsewhere for about $20 and with the adapter for $25, I was rocking out on XB1 for just a touch over $45. Not bad.

Was a bit disappointed when I bought the newest rock band and found out that none of my current instruments would work. Then I found this item and was much happier. Works with no problem just plug it in, connect your old controllers and rock on.

This adapter works great for connecting my old 360 Fender Bass controller to my Xbox One. It's not perfect, however - it often has issues with signing into RB4 as a player, where if another player joins after you are connected, you get kicked out and can't sign back in. The solution is easy, you just go back to the Xbox One home menu, close RB4 and restart it with all the controllers already connected, but it's still annoying and happens every time - hence the -1 star.Even with the annoyance, it DOES work and is a way to bring in controllers you already have to the new game - including ones that there aren't replacements for like the bass and pro drums. Even if you don't have one of the specialty controllers and want to save money on the game by using the standard old wireless drums and guitars, this is a great option, and saves you hundreds of dollars vs buying the new controllers.

Seller got this out to me super quickly, and it works exactly as advertised, feels great to be back in the game.

This is a pretty expensive item just to adapt a legacy guitar to Rock Band 4, and within 2 or 3 uses the micro usb plug pushed into the body of the box, rendering it useless. The product was within the 90d MadCatz warranty, but BOTH the website ticketing system and phone number listed to contact for Warranty service in the documentation are OUT OF SERVICE. The product is NOT listed directly on the existing MadCatz website, as is no contact #, and submitting the issue through their contact us website form has, thus far, resulted in no response. Waste of significant sum of money.

UPDATED: 12-14 upgraded from 1 to 3 stars. The latest patch from harmonix fixes some of the older guitar sync issues and seem to make this legacy adapter more reliable. However, it still does not recognize either of the 2 wireless mics I have from my xbox 360, despite them appearing on the compatibility list.--------------------------------currently, it's useless. I have supported guitars and microphones, but they simply don't communicate with the system. the guitars pair up, show connected to adapter, but no buttons work. The wireless microphone doesn't even pair, and I was hoping for that the most, to fix the lag issue with the vocals. they rushed this game to beat guitar hero, and boy does it show. glitchy. bring on the patches.

Works on my xb1 with the old Xbox 360 beatles equipment. Keeping the party going.

Ich bin sehr spät auf Rock Band aufmerksam geworden. 2021 gibt es aktuell keine Hardware mehr zu kaufen, Adpater werden nicht mehr produziert. MadCatz und PD Systems haben keine Lizensierung mit Harmonix mehr.Dafür lebt der 2nd Hand Markt für Gitarren und Schlagzeug Kontroller. Wenn man also Xbox 360 Controller verwenden will um Rock Band 4 auf der Xbox One oder Xbox Series zu spielen benötigt man diesen Adapter.6 Jahre nach Produktionseinstellung, eine Konsolengeneration weiter und der Adapter funktioniert noch.Selbiges kann ich leider nicht über die Kinect sagen, aber hey, Rock Band schafft gerade in diesen Zeiten den sozialen Kontakt.

It works great! Just the item I needed to make my Orange Logitech Guitar controller for the Xbox 360 work with the Xbox One Rock Band 4/Rivals and the Xbox dashboard. Only critism is that the USB lead is very short and it looks untidy to put it on top of the Xbox yet, if you put it out of the way like hiding it down behind the TV stand, the wireless signal drops out.Please note that this isnt exactly the same adapter as the PDP Wired legacy adapter, which was produced in small numbers as of writing this.
