Great for trout!
Makes filleting smaller fish way easier. The handle is nice too.

Not terrible but dulls quick
Used on a few smaller 4lb salmon and after about 2-4 it was noticeable duller and needed a sharpen. Good for the price but I’d definitely recommend a different one for like $10 more which is not bad for a fillet knife that’ll last a lifetime.

Good and sharp
I haven't fileted a fish in many years. I got some freshly caught fish given to me. I have given away all my filet knives since I didn't figure I would ever need them anymore. I tried to filet and skin those fish with a paring knife. I succeeded but what a chore. I bought this for the next time I was given fish. What a miraculous difference a good filet knife makes!!

Excellent Filleting Knife
I've have been thinking about buying a knife like this for cleaning up poultry and trimming excess fat off of cuts of meat and this knife works well.

Sharp
Very sharp out of the Box I wanted a shorter filet knife and it's a handy size.

Well
Have cut venison, steak, fish, baitfish, octopus and maybe more if I think about it. Still works good. Intentionally avoiding cutting into any bone and it seems still very sharp be careful. Good flex and size for certain things. Got the other bigger blade as well for other items.

Great knives - I bought two!
Sharp, flexible, and comfortable to use in the kitchen. We use them all the time to trim fruits, vegetables, and small cuts of meat.
