Great flashlights!
We like these flashlights! We like them so much that we have 3 of them. These lights are durable! They hold a charge well and are easy to handle when taking our puppies out at night. My husband accidently left one under the hood of his truck and the motor tore a section of the covering off totally but the light kept right on working! Seriously, these are bright and well worth the money! Good quality!

A Great Spotlight For Anyone
The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is a versatile and effective tool and safety device. It has fulfilled my needs and has been extremely useful in a variety of situations. It’s quality, brightness, and functionality make it useful for everyone. Brightness: The light itself is extremely bright and works at long ranges. I have used this light for a couple of years and it has shined as far as I have ever needed it to. The spotlight has 2 brightness settings that can be chosen by pulling the trigger either once or twice. The brightest setting works for spotting things at long distances. In my experience, it can spot animals from over 150 yards. In my large backyard, this spotlight works to light up anything wandering around at night. The lower brightness still works as a spotlight but saves battery and also works as a flashlight. Battery: The battery life on this spotlight is very impressive. The light comes with AC and DC adapters for your home and car, as well as a red SOS lens. It takes several hours to charge to full battery but in my experience it will outlast the 7 hour claimed run time. The light will hold for months when not in use. It has a small LED that changes between green and red indicating battery life and charging status. Quality: The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is built tough and takes a beating well. It will survive drops and abuse without an issue. The case is rugged plastic and the lens is protected by a rubber seal. The light is not waterproof, however; I had to replace mine after dropping it in a creek. I have used it in the rain without any issues however. Uses: There are many reasons to own a handheld spotlight. It is tremendously useful for people who spend a lot of time outdoors. As a fisherman, this light helps me navigate lakes and river late at night. I use the light to spot trees, stumps and other hazards in the water. It helps locate boat docks and landings as well. This light also provides security. Using it will allow you to spot anything in your yard. It would be beneficial to have for any type of emergency situation. Owning a spotlight is something everyone should consider. The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is versatile, durable, and effective. It is a must-have for me and could be for you as well.

Great spotlight! I am very satisfied
Just received this light today. Arrived with enough battery charge to test the functions. This is a great handheld spotlight. Very bright - the high beam in the dark illuminated about 200 feet before the beam was stopped at my treeline, spreading about 20 feet at that point. There, it illuminated the area bright as day. High, low and halo LED lighting worked well at the pull of the trigger. This light is relatively lightweight, looks and feels rugged. Just the light I need for the wooded area around my property, and for inside during power outages. The light seems to be sealed well enough to get slightly wet in the rain, but I wouldn't drop it in the water. Stanley has a waterproof spotlight similar to this model, but the waterproof one has less features, not as up-to-date, and is only slightly less expensive than this one. Overall, I am very satisfied so far with this light. Good quality, reasonable price, great features, with a name brand. One note, on the good side - I did a lot of research on spotlights, decided that I did not need the waterproof model as I am not on the water, and this light has more features. I really wanted this light but I almost didn't buy it because the charging types available were not clear on this website. Even with the photos and instructions in the owner's manual, available to see online at this site, were unclear - it showed male connections for AC charging at the back of the light, presumably for use with an extension cord (not included). With the help of another owner on the Q&A board on this website, I learned that this light is charged with the latest style USB adapters (both included). AC charging uses an outlet adapter, USB port at rear of the light. DC (car-type) power plug has a USB port and charging indicator light. USB cable is included, about 18 inches long, but any android-style USB power connecting cord should work. My light took about 2 hours to full charge, from the low power light indicator on the spotlight - probably quicker with my USB fast charging adapter. All of this type of USB charging system is the latest style, efficient and easy to use.

PROVIDES A VERY BRIGHT LIGHT BEAM
Several years ago, I received a "Stanley Fatmax" spotlight as a gift and I was very pleased with it and still use it. I purchased this unit for my second floor so that I have it available should the need arise for a very bright light during the middle of the night. This device is NOT the same unit I received before. First, unless you're a certified Emergency Service responder there is no need for the additional "red lens". The detailed charging scheme is COMPLETELY different from that associated with my original Fatmax. I strongly suggest that an owner read and then RE-READ the instructions for charging this light. Also and apparently, the instructions allude to a 5VDC/1A battery supply that can be used to power an external piece of equipment, presumably a cell phone, IF connected properly. This is why I only gave it a 4 star rating.

Great for dog walks
Great spotlight . Works great for taking the dog out at night. And, it recharges, so, no need to buy expensive batteries. I live in Michigan, and in the late fall and winter, darkness comes very early

Think twice on this one
First off! Great light and has many functions that I find work for me. Issue? And there is one. Don't be fooled by the advertisement (pictures) you see on the sight. That is NOT what you get. Actually the only thing I received was the light. Nothing else. Just the light. You get the light and then have no way of recharging it. No cords and no charger. Even the box was generic AND not from Stanley. Word of caution? Stanley does NOT sell their products in generic boxes. Back to the light? It is what it says it is. The functions are precise and work as designed. The battery, when you can charge it, isn't exactly the best, but it will last longer than similar lights of equal size and shape. The light works find, for me and what I need it for, and I'm not disappointed with that. Contact with Stanley wasn't what I expected and I ended up purchasing the cords, wall charger, plus car charger separately. Got it to work which was all I wanted to do.

big and bright (review has some really geeky tech details that I wished I had been able to find)
The beam has quite a bit of "general" light in a wide cone, then a brighter area around the REALLY bright central beam. That seems like wasted light, but it does help provide context for the thing you're pointing at. You might find this spotlight too big or heavy, but I wanted it to look down side roads and into campsites when I'm looking for a place to crash in a national forest after dark, and it really does that job well! Other reviewers have questioned the run time. I ran it 65 minutes on high and it never dimmed. It has a current regulator, unlike most, so the light is constant until it's almost dead. It also has a smart switch, which goes from off to bright to dim to off if you keep pulling the trigger... but if you leave it on a few seconds, pulling the trigger turns it off instead of going to dim before off as other so do. It does NOT have a flashing mode or a SOS mode. Here's the geeky part: I charged it after 1 hour of use, and found it drew exactly 600mA (from several different supplies, including the supplied one and a 2.1A cell phone charger) for a very long time. If you need quick charge, this isn't for you. The charge status light switched from red to green (flashing) at about 3Ah, and at 3.5Ah the charge current started to decrease (down to 250mA at 3.7Ah). Note that the battery is not 5V, so USB charging amp-hours are smaller than lithium battery amp-hours with the voltage step-down. If it really is a 10W light as Stanley says, 1 hour of use should require 10 watt-hours of charging (which would be 2 amp-hours at 5V). The roughly 4 amp-hours which I pushed into it is typical of lithium batteries, which require twice as much charge current as they deliver when being discharged. I believe them. The heat sink on top runs SLIGHTLY warm, but not hot enough to hurt or burn. PS: I tried a smaller one (XM-L2 CREE) before I settled on this one. If this seems too big, check the smaller one out... It had a zoom lens that I really liked, but it flaked out on me and this one reaches roughly twice as far away because the beam is tighter and the reflector is bigger.
