Good for the money and small boat.
Pretty good overall, had to drill some holes to match the mounting hardware on the boat.

Two teeth broke out of it the gear the third time I used it.
It is made of poor quality. Gear broke two teeth the third I used it. It rated for 3500 on and wouldn’t pull my boat up, but the one replaced it with is rated 2500 and has no problem pulling the boat. Bad deal!

Made of weak materials.
I used this to replace a steel cabled winch that was fairly rusted. That cable was rated for 2000lbs and I never had an issue.On this winch, the crank handle bent on the first use. I bent it back in place. The winch is not strong enough to pull my 1800lbs pontoon all the way onto the trailer once out of the water. I have to push the boat from the back while my wife cranks the handle.The handle is weak. The locking mechanism is flimsy. The gears aren’t strong enough to pull the boat those last 5 inches when you need to shore the bow up against the trailer.Don’t buy it.

Very light weight, more like 800 lbs to my view
Seriously doubt the rating- very flimsy, thin metal, light weight. I chose not to use it and it's in the attic. Should have returned it right away

cheap construction
after a couple of time using it for a fairly heavy load - but nowhere near its listed capacity - the ratchet function no longer worked, and it started releasing the load without warning

Chinese junk
Five teeth on the main gear broke while winching my boat tight to the trailer, first trip out. Previous winch was good for 16 years and rated a thousand pounds less.
