This is the most detailed and complex book on voice training that we have found. It includes exercises for all sorts of voice training needs, from singing to speaking to making character voices and beyond. Some of the print is in lighter color than I desire but other than that it is excellent.

Great book for training your voice
If you are someone who wishes to train your voice for public speaking or to learn how to train your voice for singing, this is a good place to start. You will understand your voice and you will know what makes your voice work, and how to get the best out of it. Simple and straightforward.

Still,it's a great book BUT doesn't substitute a voice instructor for someone who wants to learn how to sing in a healthy manner
Simply fantastic! Simple writing, even for the most complex things! Accurate and detailed, well written and with a great variety of exercises!! Wish there were a bit more images in the first chapters where the vocal mechanism and how it works is described, but because it's well written i didn't mind that much!Great choice for beginners and more advanced students and a great tool for teachers!

Fantastic Resource for Anyone with a Voice
My voice is my instrument. This book is fantastic in teaching how the voice works and how to make easy adjustments through a conscious awareness of how your sound is produced. There are many articulation exercises and tips on proper breathing that will make your speaking and singing voice clear and amazing. I love this book!

Book was torn up, got a replacement, still messed up!!
UPDATE*Got a replacement book and this too is coming apart at the seem and is clearly used???I paid for a new book and this came used, dirty and coming apart. I want to read this so I don’t really want to wait days and days for a replacement and I am not happy that I paid for a new book and received a used.

Ben fatto ma assenza clamorose
Il libro è ben fatto sia nei contenuti sia nella grafica, e da questo punto di vista darei sicuramente 5 stelle, però son rimasto deluso dall'assenza di esercizi per rafforzare la voce: sono solo esercizi per speaker, cantanti e perfino imitatori e simili nicchie, mentre necessità molto più diffuse non sono state soddisfatte.

You ask me to recommend a book on singing? This is the one!
At last, a book for anyone who sings or has a longing to. This is written so well that anyone can access the crucial step by step information and application of how to sing. As a voice coach of 40years, I am often asked to recommend books on singing. Until now, there have only ever been highly technical and wordy 'tomes', designed primarily for voice professionals, or shockingly, 'nice books on singing' which are often (not always) inaccurate in their technical information.The cover is interesting and daring though not something I would have necessarily been drawn to. However, it's intriguing and made me want to open it for that reason alone. It does in fact draw the eye towards it. I am already recommending it to my students as being one of the best books I have seen which so clearly explains how to sing.... Congrats to Jeremy Fisher & Gillyanne Kayes!
