Truly loved this book
In the last year or so, I’ve discovered that I truly enjoy the Young Adult genre despite the fact that I’m in my 50’s. I just recently read THE HUNGER GAMES TRILOGY. So, I was looking for another YA book to read that would be as fascinating. I found it in THE MAZE RUNNER.Main character, Thomas, wakes up in a moving box-like contraption that opens up into a beautiful glade peopled by a group of boys all around his own age. He realizes, as they begin to introduce themselves, that he has no idea what his own name is, he doesn’t know where he came from or how he got in the box to begin with; the other boys tell him that is was the same for each of them.As Thomas begins his life in the glade, he is introduced to the maze, its monsters and the dangers that surround him and the other boys.THE MAZE RUNNER is a little slower-paced than I would like, but…it’s filled with intrigue, danger and mystery. It kept me hooked from beginning to end. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Read the Maze Runner series
Is a good and entertaining serial book, just what you need when you are reading for pleasure and distraction. The suspense is good. I would say that in some way it's much better than The Hunger Games. Dashner has done a good job with this serial. So if you are interested in adventures set in dystopian futures the Maze Runner series is perfect. And it also offers some hints about how the future world will be. Incidentally, it takes place in Mexico, describing it as a hot and desolate place where global warming has destroyed almost every form of life. So its a good reading and I recommend it. Thanks

Great Read - Suspenseful (Kill Order Prequel is Amazing!)
Loved this book series. I am the type of person who likes to follow along with audio book with physical book in hand ... Relatively quick series read and full of very suspenseful moments.... My favorite book out the series is the Prequel, Kill Order, but dont you dare read that book first ... you absolutely have to read the other three books first then read the Kill Order Prequel...The only disappoint I have, which doesnt pertain to the book more so than the movie... Movie #2 The Scorch Trials has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the book .... some books to movies stray off the path of in the movie... this not the case and in fact the book of Scorch Trials was WAAAAY more interesting and suspenseful and made a lot more sense.

A Must Read for Sci-Fi/Thriller Fans.
The Maze Runner series is fantastic. I saw the movie first, which confused me but nevertheless thrilled me. I ordered the series soon after watching the movie, for a fantastic bulk price. The story is engaging, with in-depth characters and plenty of action. The writing style isn't the most creative, but it isn't a series that was written for the sake of writing. It was written to tell a story, and it tells that story very well. The series is on par with the Percy Jackson novels, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

slightly ridiculous I didn't hate this series as much as some people did
So, I needed to review the trilogy as a whole because I read them all furiously back to back and now they've become one long book, overall:Maze Runner: frustratingScorch Trials: better-ishDeath Cure: slightly ridiculousI didn't hate this series as much as some people did, or maybe as I should have, as I've said before I'm very accepting of flawed writing. The concept of this series is rather brilliant, the execution is not. If you're reading it after the Hunger Games you'll see how roughly cut the ideas are compared to the thorough world building of Collins. I haven't read the prequel yet but apparently it does nothing to quench all the burning questions that are left unaddressed at the end of the trilogy.

I loved these books
I loved these books! They are for young adults and are set in a post-apocalyptic world. These types of books are very popular right now, but this series gives a new feel. There is constant action and I found myself unable to put them down. The last book of the series is actually a prequel to the other three. Knowing this, I decided to start with that book. It made for a great timeline and intro into the rest of the series. I am 24 and was able to relate to parts of the books, so do not be put off just because they are geared toward a younger audience.
