For those of you who have a flex induction hob or for example the 90 cm wide latest Siemens hob which has 4 rectangular areas down each side plus central concentric circular areas as we have ,. This is the only one we have found that enables the rectangular areas to be utilised as fully as possible , we have tried numerous others that in their description mention suitability for induction which is only partly true, All the others were returned as they were as we suspected not up to the task in providing even heat across the cooking area. No matter what the overall shape was they all had a circular stainless steel area on the underside and many were mainly aluminium above, Some photos were obviously ‘ set up ‘to show a fried egg in an area outside the central cooking circle, Eg 9 mins and the egg wasn’t.fully cooked. !!Continuing to search for an item roughly rectangular and made of cast material etc which is almost 100% of the desired specification , we found this one. It arrived in 3 days from Madrid and has proved already to be the ideal product. Because of its construction it heats up quickly and all the area is fine for cooking. We chose the one with a flat internal area but it is also available with a griddled surface.All in all , an excellent product and by far the best we have encountered after trying four others .Nov 2020 update.Having used this regularly for a year now, this induction plate continues to be brilliant to use . This has proved itself to be the best .with great even heat distribution and so easy to clean. I have noticed a few reviews stating their items are not quite flat ,,,in other words the casting is slightly warped. Suggest that new buyers check theirs on arrival as well as checking their hob surfaces too. If the plate is warped return it straight away . Don't be tempted to go for much cheaper items . not worth the hassle.

Like so many other reviewers, I searched for a long time for a pan I could use over a flexi hob that wasn't just a long pan with a circular induction plate, or an overly heavy cast iron griddle. This is the answer, it is relatively light, straddles a flexizone, heats evenly and quickly and most importantly cooks evenly. Completely non stick and really easy to clean. It arrived sooner than expected and has been used almost daily since. Really happy.

Great even cook, end to end of pan!Have used for breakfast, lunch (toasted sandwiches) and dinner!In use at least x3 a week. Need to use plastic kitchen utensils with it!!

Good design and large cooking area

We recently bought a new hob which has the ability to link two rings to create a large cooking area and as others have suggested there is a dearth of third party grill plates designed with a rectangular base that accommodate this feature. The hob manufacturers own brand grill plates are very expensive but we bought both the smooth and ribbed plates for roughly the same cost as a single equivalent from the hob manufacturers. The most important point is to follow the cleaning and usage instructions and I suspect they will last for many years if you do. Both the smooth and ribbed versions of this grill plate are highly recommended, they have a 3 year guarantee.

This was the only griddle I could find that works when you join 2 zones together on an induction hob. All the others have a circular plate on the bottom that goes on a single ring. Works great!
