Just Dance 2016 - Wii

What's not to like about Just Dance? It has become part of our family Christmas tradition that goes all the way back to Just Dance 2. It encourages family time and keep us all active not to mention competitive (very). We play everyday and my kids even play it in the am before school to start their day! Song selection is always great. We love the World Dance floor. A couple changes to the way profiles are setup since the 2015 version is the only disappointing thing and it sometimes causes some frowns because each child wants to have credit for their progress. But that's a small thing, we find a work around and still have a good time. Open to any other suggestions on that part.

I can't do a comparison of "Just Dance 2016" to all the other "Just Dance" games. We have a couple of older ones that were also fun. I bought this for a birthday present for my daughter who turned 10 years old. She didn't ask for it but was thrilled when she opened it. Later that week, she had about 8 friends come over to spend the night. All of them spent hours dancing to all the different songs. They all danced and took turns with the controllers. The had a lot of fun and laughs. My 7 year old was also in the mix and loved it too. I am so glad I ordered it because it kept all the kids entertained. It was her favorite birthday gift that still offers many hours of fun.

The right price for the product I am pleased

Love! Love! Love! I'm a HUGE fan of the Just Dance series. This is my favorite way to exercise indoors when the weather doesn't permit me to be outside. It's fun, it's good for you, it makes everyone laugh, what's not to love? My only critique would be that some of the costumes, songs, and graphics appear too childish for me. I guess you can't please everyone! But considering they make a kids version and disney version, I'd prefer the childish content to be exclusive to those. I love the series so much though, I'll keep buying every edition because even just for 5 or 10 songs I like, it's worth it to me.

THIS is the BEST one yet! I liked Just Dance 2014 and Just Dance 2015 & had fun with those on the WII, but I have to admit that Just Dance 2016 is the best one. I love the songs and was able to get 5 stars on even the hardest tunes. I worked up quite a sweat, but the display showed that in 22 songs, I burned approximately 300 calories. I recommend this for kids, as well as family fun, and a good way to supplement an exercise routine.

If you're familiar with the Just Dance series, you'll know that these games are all pretty similar but with different songs/moves. For this edition, I liked how you could pick an avatar for your Dancer ID, and I also thought it was fun that you can unlock different versions of songs. However, it does have an autosave sequence that takes way longer and occurs more frequently than anything I've seen before. Just to start dancing, you need to wait a minute or two (instead of the usual >30 seconds) every time you start the game, and whenever you dance to a new song, you have to wait for the avatar for that song to unlock. Some people ask me if this is for kids. I would say no. The game is rated E for 10+, but I personally would not want my 10 year old dancing to the vast majority of these songs (for instance, Hey Mama by Nicki Minaj). If you don't have kids, it's not a problem, but if you do, you might want to take a look at the lyrics of these songs before purchasing. Overall, pretty standard for the series. My favorite songs to dance to in this edition are Copacabana and Albatross.

Hard to find Wii Dance discs. This vendor had one at a fair price and in great condition.

I bought this to play with my kids. I have 3 boys 3-8 and my older 2 love it!! They want to play it all the time. My 3 year old is too young to understand what to do. I really enjoy playing this with my kids too. This is not just for girls...my boys now want some of the older Just Dances. I highly recommend getting this to get your kids moving and not just staring at an ipad or tv. Yes, its "screen time" but its a workout. After a few songs in a row, I get my heart beat up for sure. Really fun!
