An affordable piece ans works well.
Just what I needed and works great. I needed to add an extension to the cable for my headphones. This did the trick! It seems to be well made and looks very simple so nothing to break.

Worked great for connecting my male 3
Worked great for connecting my male 3.5mm headphones to a y adapter. I then used two stereo cables to connect the two ends of the y adapter to my two laptops' audio out so I can hear both audio sources at work.

Not as advertised, high failure rate
First off, if you're lucky to pick one that works, you'll find that it sums the stereo signal to mono, and that's after jiggling it just right so that you don't hear just one track. Some are tight or impossible to plug into, others are so loose so as to not make a reliable connection. You can NOT trust these to deliver even summed mono without a headphone check, which make their reliability in a complex patch nil. At least half are in the trash as they don't function at all in some way. What a mistake...
