Muay Thai Punching Bag 6ft 150lbs Unfilled Made in USA

Arrived earlier than expected and fits just right in my office/workout room. Material seems to be high quality. I went with this unfilled Outslayer bag rather than other cheaper bags assuming it would live up to its reputation of quality materials and durability and so far I'm not disappointed. The vinyl, straps, stitching and D-rings appear to be high quality both inside and out. I was a little concerned about filling the bag, but in the end am happy I made the choice to save some money and get an unfilled bag. In my case I had a lot of old clothing laying around I needed to clear out as well as some old blankets, comforters and quilts. It takes a lot of material to fill, so if you don't have a similar amount of filling easily available you'll need to get some or follow the suggestions in other reviews. The bag comes with a list of ideas of easy to aquire filling materials, too. I filled my bag with old clothing, sheets and blankets. I removed all the buttons and zippers from the clothing and used a knife to cut the larger items into smaller strips to avoid odd bulges or soft spots in the bag once it was packed down. While filling the bag I gave up on using a long broom handle to pack the material down and just stuck my foot down in the bag every little bit to compress the packing material. This got more difficult the more full the bag got, but when it got taller it was easier to reach in and compress it by hand. I don't want more than the weight of the fabric, the bag's already 6ft tall, so compressing the way I did created a consistent striking surface that is plenty firm and has plenty of inertia without being too heavy for my stand. I'm using my selec-tec weights as counter balance and it stays put just fine. I'm assuming I might need to add some fill material as it all settles over time. Overall I'm pleased.

Purchased hanging hardware w/ spring, floor bag, and 6’ bag. Shipping was fast on all components. Came well packaged and damage free (I did accidentally crease it unpacking it leaving 2 tiny stretch marks in the vinyl). The stitching is overdone in a good way, the hardware looks like they are for tractor pulls, and the vinyl has a grid interwoven in some way that makes it appear highly durable. Filling it took 9 hours over 3 days, but was worth it. I used every manner of household material cut into 2”x5” strips. I cut a 2x4 to a good length for my ceiling for the first 3/4, then used an axe handle to do the top. Well worth the effort, weighed in at 120 lbs and is almost rock hard (just enough give to be uncomfortable but not break things). If you want the 150 lbs, go for the filled version, they probably use a press of some sort or all denim equivalent material or something. Great buy, would recommend.

This Bag is great, it arrived in a small package. Having had ripped and beat down two EVERLAST bags with kicks(because I doubt my punches caused it to fall), I had enough sand bags, and filling to fill it to at least 160 lbs, however I didn't want to make it that heavy, so filling it yourself can be a very good thing, because you're allowed to play with the weight and material you want in it, and it allows you to gain insight into which material is best for you to hit. Anyhow I finished filling this bag up last night and hung it up at just about the right height, and have only been able to strike it lightly since it was about 11pm, i was so excited about finishing that day that i spent the day on it. QUALITY: The main difference that I can tell about this bag is the material used, and the straps holding it up. The 4 four straps that hold bag up to the ceiling, chains, etc, is attached to another weight distributing belt that hugs the upper half of the bag which makes for a great bond/hold. My EVERLAST bags didn't have this feature, and that's exactly where they had ripped. When i strike the bag I notice that I didn't have any hard parts that cripple my knuckles or shins, because I dictated what went into the bag. AND ON TOP OF THAT, OUTSLAYER, sent my directions on how to fill a punching bag: Insulation, clothes, rubber bits, etc, and that helped alot, because I ran out of stuffing at some point. It comes with a ten year warranty which i wish my everlast bags came with, because those pieces of crap broke in less than 3 months for both. If you have the patience and creativity (something I hope a fighter, and amateurs alike have, especially since they're practicing a discipline) then this bag is perfect, makes for a great learning experience, and one hell of an achievement to fill your own bag. Purchase this bag if you have the money, and want a higher quality bag; it was only $20 more than the everlast bags.

This is a very sturdy and durable heavy bag with heavy duty D-rings. The zipper on top for filling the bag is pretty small and makes it hard to fold the bag down to fill it. But I am sure there is a purpose for the size of the hole on top. Great product though.

A great punching bag. Arrived in good conditions Excelente quality, even more than i expected for the price you pay for it.

I've been using this bag for the last two weeks. The delivery was faster then it said, the quality of the bag is amazing, the length and size is perfect. It came with clear instructions on how to fill it. (I recommend using large sandwich bags and making about a 8x1 1/2" sized bags) and setting them in place and covering the rest with saw dust. Find a local mill they usually have a full garbage bin you can take 3 large garbage bags full for free! Use 2.5-3 bags of the 40lbs bags of sand from canadian tire. This is the cheapest and easiest options. Layer the bags every 6 inches or so, or do the math with how many bags of sand you have after filling them. I had about 8 sandwich bags per 40lbs bag of sand I believe. MAKE SURE you fill the outside areas otherwise you will be hitting sand (you don't want this). Also, after hanging it... You may need to refill a couple of times.. so make sure you save a couple extra bags of sand and sawdust! Anyways, I hope this helps! I highly recommend this bag.
