The Beginner's Guide to Modern Calligraphy and Hand Lettering for Kids

I bought this as a gift for an 11 yr old. Paper was a good quality and is a soft cover book a4 size. She loved it and was quickly able to access the content on her own. Bought a pack of colourful calligraphy pens to use with it.

A useful book to get to grip with different styles of calligraphy. A bit like a handwriting book with exercises to practise the different strokes.

I have been attempting to learn calligraphy, which I ‘semi’ mastered. However I want to learn how to write using ‘modern’ calligraphy as well. I bought this practice book to help me do so. Didn’t know what I was expecting from this book, however, I am pleasantly surprised and am finding it helpful. It has many practise sheets and shows which way to to start and end letters. (Flow) It gives the basic about lettering (which for me seems advanced!) It also shows wether to use brush-pens (and how!) , pencils, markers, pens or crayons. It starts with warm up strokes and goes all the way through different lettering styles, connecting letters, doodles and illustrations, up to creating a ‘poster’ with significant quotes with illustrations. If this book is for kids, I cannot imagine how advanced the adult books might be! Perfect place to start for beginners! There is also a link for freebies on website. Thank you Junelucy

Ok on time

I havent used it. Bought for kids. Pages seem nice quality. Print Osgood and the j Kids think its fab.

Purchased for my 12 year-old granddaughter. She enjoys using her calligraphy pens to create this new lettering.

I gave her this book and a set of 24 pens. Since they don’t learn cursive in school anymore, she’s fascinated with lettering, and in fact her cursive is better than her printing. Of all her Christmas presents she opened this up, sat down and started working in the workbook immediately. Excellent product, recommended.

This book has a variety of lettering styles to practice, suitable for both children and adults. Throughout each page you will be guided through improving your stroke precision resulting in a clear, beautiful script.

Great book all in one exercises and examples

Material fühlt sich gut an! Umfangreiche gute Möglichkeiten um schwungvolles Schreiben zu lernen. Altersstufe würde ich ab ca 10 Jahre empfehlen.
