Rubie's Costume Deluxe Adult Cape with Embroidered Superman Logo

This cape will impress. If you're a nut about screen accuracy, then you may not be totally happy as this material has a bit of a shine to it and, of course, the logo is not all yellow. But thats if you want to get upset over nothing. Personally am I dismayed? Maybe a little cause I grew up with Reeve as the man of steel and that cape was always the focal point as a child, as far as the costume is concerned. This is, however, an easy fix. Order a second, blank cape (cause I still really like this one as is)and a yellow logo somewhere else online.Still, this item looks great on my wall, balancing out the Batman cardboard cutout I got from the Dark Knight Rises release.And, since I've wanted a Superman cape since Kindergarten I had to put it on (it wasnt purchased for costuming, but for display) and it feels great to wear. The length is a nice balance of Superman the Movie and Man of Steel in that it is a bit longer than Reeve's cape but not as long as Cavill's. The location where the logo rests on your back is perfect and though this cape might technically be too wide its not distracting at all, visually or the feel when wearing it.I was definitely more pleased than I was expecting and now I'm working on a Clark/Superman costume idea due to how good this cape is. The idea being that Clark had no time to change, got in a 'scuffle' and still has his suit on but its a little torn up. With the cape falling out of the back of the shirt just a bit and perhaps one of his shoes and lower pant leg torn off showing the red and blue of the boot and tights.....anyway, its a very nice cape.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend.. now it's his favorite drinking attire. It's heavy and well made. If/ when he destroys his or catch it on fire I will order this one again

I was happy with the quality of these capes. Ordered 3 to give to friends, acquaintance's or just random people going through tough times to give them a little boost, then at some point when the time is right, it's suggested they pass it on to someone else in need of support. Based on the reactions of the recipients so far I can honestly say that they are working as intended. I plan to order more shortly. *everyone needs a super cape sometimes...

I must say I am highly impressed with the cape I just got in the mail,it really finished my costume all I need to do is take it to a seamstress and have fitted to go inside the top part of the suit to make it really authentic I'm not complaining but the " s" should have been all yellow and a small pocket on the inside and on the lower part of the cape where he is supposed to put his street clothes.mind you I love this cape I'm just a stickler for realism to many people think they have the right to change the way people or persons are supposed to look BS. I'm a 60 year old superman fan from way back and I'm teaching my grandson who lives with me the real superman not the present day one although I loved the latest film and liked his costume it just wasn't the same I don't have all the comic books or posters of him hanging on the wall I've just wanted a superman suit all my life and when I bought the suit I have it didn't come with a cape.ive even got to cut the blue gloves that are on this suit off and have it stitched upend get some red boots that have to fit tight and perfect. But my hat goes off to the people who are responsible for making this wonderful cape and keep up the good work. I would add a photo but I'm not done with the suit yet maybe someday thank you again for even having this on the market, yes a satisfied customer.

This cape is great! I actually wore this while running a 15K costume race. It held up extremely well and looked great, especially a few times when the wind caught it just right, and coming across the finish line for photos. The clasp held up well during all 9.3 miles, and only broke when I was helping support an injured runner (true Superman style) who was leaning fairly heavily on me. I think it can be repaired with some decent sewing skills.This looks great and really put the finishing touches on my full costume, and I thought was very modestly priced. I would definitely recommend this to anyone rounding out their Super suit.

I'm a women but I got this for me becasue I have broad shoulders and I wanted the cape to drape over my shoulders well.Cons:- loose thread on the S- WrinkledPros:-Packaged nicely- The hook closure is great- Doesn't feel cheap- Has a little weight to it so it's not limp- Length is perfect ( I'm 5'9 and it falls below my calves)
