LOVE IT!
I wanted to upgrade my cello rosin after having bought a carbon fibre bow. The rosin I was using was about $9 and was okay but honestly I wasn't feeling like the bow was sounding as good as it should be. So I decided to finally upgrade my rosin and see if that made a difference. After reading the reviews I decided to give this one a try and let me tell you it's awesome! Well worth the price for sure. The bow has plenty of grip yet it glides across the strings. The tonal change is fantastic! It now sounds like I'm playing with a more expensive bow! I am very satisfied and will be buying it again for sure.

Best rosin I’ve found
I’ve been using this rosin for years- a while before it was rebranded even. My stand partner borrows it, the violist in my quartet borrows it, everyone loves it. It’s not as sticky as the darker one which is why I like it and provides a nice clean sound

Not for my violin
The sound is rough and choked, like heavy viola rosin. Maybe it is good on another brand of strings or with a different violin.

Nice rosin to increase sonority and expression - Solo
It worked as described. Initially, I was sceptic, but once I applied it to my bow, the sound changed to a more "loquacious" expression. The sonority increased, and the squeaking disappeared. I was using cheap rosin because "any rosin is good." For a beginner, this is a game changer.

Overrated! Extremely fragile. No improvement over $18 rosin
I purchased this rosin based upon all of the "rave professional reviews" I kept seeing. "Important" cellists and cello experts couldn't stop giving it gushing reviews it seemed.I spent the $45 and... and never saw any benefit. Worse yet, it fell to the floor, with the lid on, the lid cracked and the rosin fractured. We still hadn't come to a conclusion on the rosin at that point so we foolishly bought another one - luckily it was and still is on sale for $35.It really isn't a very good rosin. And that spreader thing, that's a waste. Maybe this rosin is great for violins.Honestly the dark cello rosin we were using that is under $20 is better.

Love it
Love the brush and how it leaves just enough resume on hair.

Cecilia ‘Solo’ Rosin - Mixed Feelings
The CECILIA ‘SOLO’ Rosin for Violin, specifically formulated for violin bows, comes in a convenient MINI (Half Cake) size. While it enhances the bow’s grip, I find it to be a bit inconsistent in performance across various playing styles. It might take a few applications to achieve the desired result. However, the compact size is handy for on-the-go use. Overall, a decent rosin with room for improvement.
