30 fascinating patterns to color, from simple to complex
It's a nice selection of traditional geometric patterns from the Alhambra palace in Spain. Beginning with relatively simple patterns, the complexity increases as you page through the book.

Thin paper . Very basic designs
Designs are very basic. Paper is really thin. Potentially you could use colored pencils on it- but not pens

This colorbook is not for mere pictureness only, but contains historically accurate reconstructions of the geometrical patterns of the palace of Alhambra. Mohamad Aljanabi comes from a lineage of artists in the tradition of Al Zakhrafa or Arabic Geometric Ornamentation and helps preserve this tradition by offering free lessons for anyone interested to learn.

An excellent book - like the author’s book on patterns on the Silk Road, this book has large pages and very clear lines, making it a real pleasure to either colour in or just marvel at the skill and ingenuity of the craftsmen who built the Alhambra. Highly recommended!
