Does this fit in the vest pocket like the 500ml soft body?

The UD flexform bottles are hard sided so they do not fit in the vest pockets. I use the happy moose soft sided flask. Fits in the vest pockets and the water tastes like it is supposed to.

Does this bottle stand on its own?

Yes it does. It has a flat base.
