Introduction to Business

A lot of good and useful information for business owners. The reference links are also helpful to find needed resources.

You can find it elsewhere, but you'll be paying too much.

I've been devouring the Openstax collection of business books. They are truly amazing, specially if you are looking to learn the fundamentals of business and build that solid foundation.

Text books are so darned expensive any more! Great to find a cheaper alternative. Although, you do lose the ability to sell the book back to the school book store.

The book is actually good for anyone taking business classes in college, especially business 101. It does sprinkle in pro capitalism talking points especially in the economics chapter.. such as " countries have higher wages in other countries but the price of hamburgers are more expensive there", " Employees just don't work hard under non capitalist systems" and a few others that are just proven not true or the whole context is not given (hamburgers in Denmark are more expensive however a McDonald's cashier makes $21 an hour there vs U.S. minimum wage of the state) but other than that yeah it has good study material.

Excellent introduction to business textbook. Lucidly written with 17 chapters, the authors take 1-2 to cover each area of business including economics, management, ethics, organizational design, human resources, organizational behavior, operations management, marketing, information systems, accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship. It even includes a lengthy appendix with an introduction to business law. Every business major, minor, and MBA student should start with a book like this. The Kindle and OpenStax mobile app versions make for versatile options, but you can't go wrong with a hardcover copy either.

This a great resource for first-year students and those who are wanting to start a business. It's sold at a great price and there's even a free online version of the book (wow!). Students may have this book required for their classes but it also a great supplemental tool, as it teaches all things that a first-year business course will. For me personally it's been a good refresher
