Is this table long enough for a 55 inch TV.

It's 47 inches at it's widest point, but as TV stands are a fraction of the width of the TV, it will easily accommodate it, but the edges of the TV will probably exceed the width of the stand.

can i put caster wheels on the supports as an elderly woman I need to be able to move around

the legs on this are plastic tubes which screw into each other when assembled its very light when made up i would not put wheels on it but you could try
