Beautiful watch. The instructions are very generic, and indicate it has a locking crown. It doesn’t, which isn’t a problem for me as I won’t be diving with it. Watch is solid and suitable for work or casual settings.

I purchased this watch because it has checked a lot of boxes that I need in a field watch: waterproof, shock proof, glows in the dark, does not require a battery, does not need to be wound, hack feature, large enough to read the hands and dial without my bifocals, stainless steel case and band resists corrosion and rust, and it didn't break the bank. It's a mechanical watch and mine loses 8 seconds daily, which IMHO is pretty decent. Before I turn in for the night, I give three winds, take a soft toothbrush to the watch and band then wipe the dirt and skin oil off with a silicone cloth. In the morning it gets 'hacked" for the day. I normally sit behind a desk but on occasion I get called out to the field and may end up in the worst weather in the worst terrain for God only knows how long. On those days digging a phone out of my pocket to mark the time is a PITA. I've had this watch now for 6 weeks and all is good, glad I made the purchase.

The best thing IMHO about this watch is that it's Automatic: Self-Winding requiring no light or Battery. I'm pretty much fed-up with solar watches that work for a while and then lose ALL ability to recharge themselves. IMHO they are GARBAGE and B.S.. I have two relatively expensive solar watches that both died around the same time. I would NEVER buy another one at ANY price. I am so happy now with my reliable automatic Seiko Watch and it's such a high quality piece that I'm pretty sure it won't let me down. But you never know so, we'll be monitoring the operation very closely. But, just in case, I bought a battery powered plastic digital watch for $11 as a backup.

First review ever written. Got this watch as a birthday gift and it’s absolutely perfect. I wanted an every day automatic watch that looked great and had a day/date feature. This watch absolutely nails it. Had a Seiko kinetic field watch before this that’s great but wanted something more classy looking. Seen some reviews about the underwater capability, but if I find myself more than 100m underwater I will have more pressing things on my mind than the time of day.

My bezel is off. Kinda a bummer. Seiko is a awesome watch company I just got unlucky with that part. Lume is great as always on a seiko. Hands are a little wide so it covers the date/day window at times. I enjoy it more then I don't.

Easy to read dial with day and date large enough to read. I have another watch with a titanium case and band. Never noticed how light it is. This stainless case and band will definitely keep me from blowing away in even a strong wind.

I love this watch and for the price the movement is wonderful. It comes with all the seiko warranty paperwork etc. would recommend this to anyone wanting to get into automatics. Hope this was helpful

Bought to replace an old Seiko that Seiko cold not repair.runs fine, and is accurate. Can go 10 hours without wearie.
