Poor quality for a Carbon Express product
You would think a product with the Carbon Express name on it would be of good or excellent quality, but this tool came to me with sharp edges on both jaws of the D-loop tightener, which could have potentially cut my D-loop and my bowstring. It also had burrs inside the brass nock crimping groove where the initial D-loop puller was fastened into. I had to take a round needle file to all these sharp edges to get it to work the way it should. Very poorly quality control and could have potentially been disastrous on a bow had I not noticed these flaws. It does what it's supposed to do, but all I really needed was the nock crimping function. I haven't decided yet, but I may go an grind off the D-loop puller and tightening parts from this tool in the future. Just beware that this is what you get if you decide to get this tool.

Not bad and not badly made
Not bad and not badly made.EDIT: Adding a star.To remove brass nocks, just use the wedge shaped point on the jaw. force it slightly into the opening side of the brass nock and the nock point will loosen up and be fairly easy to get the rest of the way off.ANd, there are two round shaped parts on the jaw side of the thing. The smaller one is for putting brass nocks on. The larger is too big for any reasonable nock, and I didn't know what it was for. Well, I just pulled a tip out of the wood frame of my target and slightly deformed the part just above the threads, such that it would not fit back into the arrow shaft. Turns out the larger round jaw is sized to fix this. I was able to scrunch the scratches back down and the tip was good as new.I can't see why anyone would go for a brass nock these days, over a served nock. But in any case these are handy for getting brass nocks off, tightening d-loops, getting tips out of wood. Fixing tips pulled out of wood, and probably a few other things.

Essential piece of kit for your bow!
Pros- 2 different diameters for nocking thinner and thicker strings, can attach nocking rings or loop with this tool, can REMOVE nocking rings!, stretcher at tip to enlarge brush buttons and anything else that needs to slide down the string, well builtCons - NoneBottom Line- If you install your own bow strings you NEED this tool or something like it. Sure you can probably crimp a ring onto your bowstring without this. But where this tool shines is removing/adjusting string nocks. The sharp tooth part of the tool spreads the ring apart without damaging the string allowing you to adjust the position or remove it altogether. (If you are removing a string nock it helps to score a line on the metal ring 180 degrees from the gap with a small file. That way when you spread it apart, it breaks in half...)Having damaged strings in the past trying to adjust the nocking point, I can honestly say that this tool payed for itself in strings alone the very first time I used it to remove a string nock. Never mind the saved time and the fact that I can now adjust my nocking point in the field in mere seconds...

Good tool at a good price
This is just the right tool for the hobbyist. I am returning to archery after a 25 year hiatus (not many ranges on Navy ships!) and have recently learned how many tools and pieces of gear have gone missing after 15 moves. Not wanting to spend and arm and a leg for tools, I did want to have a nocking tool. (Many years ago, I ruined a couple of perfectly good bowstrings I had made when the jaws of my regular pliers caused the brass nocks to compress asymmetrically.) I could have gone out and gotten separate tools for small and medium nocks, for tightening D-loops and for removing nocks, but this does a good job at all of this for a pretty low price. If I were a professional bowyer or serious competitor, I might want to invest in something more. But for my kind of recreational use, this does everything I need.

Great price great product!!
I didn’t find any burrs or sharp edges like other reviewers state as a CNC machinist I feel the machining quality is fine for this price point. I will file all corners on them rust to round them off not a big deal if you don’t own a small file set one could be found at your local big box store for $5 and they come in handy for lots of stuff. If lost I would purchase again.

The nocking tool part is good which is why I gave this 4 stars
It's ok. The front part fr D-loops is far to thick to get in between the loop material and the string. I use the hook on the side to get the loop started, but it's still to thick to get it in there. If you make HUGE loops, this will be the tool for you. If you can, and do, make small D-loops, stick to the needle nose pliers. The nocking tool part is good which is why I gave this 4 stars. Had it not been for that it would have gotten 2 stars.

Would Recommend
Very good product, but dont over tighten unless you want serving separation underneath your loop.

Great tool for any archer
This is perfect for both tying up D loops or simple nocking points with good instructions how to do it.
