Its Perfect!
I already owned the entire unit with 2 satellite phones and I have been really satisfied with it. I purchased the main unit with 2 satellites several years ago and they have worked flawlessly. My past experience in wireless phones was anything but a good experience having gone through many different brands and types given I am so old our first phone was a party line. So with that information in mind I have been around and purchasing wireless phones since they hit the market and the first bunch were less to be desired and more or less disposable and expensive at that.I live in a 2 story house and rarely used the second story until recently and I ALWAYS forgot to take the handset up with me so I was running up and down the stairs all the time. I am a pack rat and found the box so I knew exactly what to order and was very pleased to find they still not only make this brand/model but the price was very very reasonable. I ordered it right away and when it arrived I was excited to open it, why I have no clue but nevertheless I was. I was very pleased to find the handset is every bit the very same quality and identical to the original unit. The only difference is the new one does not have the wear and tear of 10 years like the others.I highly recommend not only this extra handset but the entire unit. I own a home business so I use my phones a lot and this system has held up very well for around 10 years or however long it has been since they hit the market. If you have a difficult time hearing I can say with great certainty that this is the phone for you as it is very clear as a matter of fact it is clearer than any phone I have ever used including the old phones with the cords. The handset also has a ton of features, larger than normal buttons, easy to read buttons, and the back lighting is great for low light or in the middle of the night phone calls. The handset itself is larger than most cordless phones yet it is not so much larger that its like the old cell phones that were so large that placing them on your belt would pull your pants down. It is the perfect size for male or female to handle comfortably, it is also light weight so your arms don't feel like they are going to fall off or worse yet fall asleep while on long phone calls.I highly recommend the handset and the unit that it goes with. I have no idea how or if it would work mixing it or adding it to a different brand/model than the unit was made for I can only speak from my experience which entails adding it to the phone system it was made for to expand the amount of locations a satellite can be places throughout my home.

Excellent Range and Sound
I've had a long series of cordless phones over the last couple of years with the last two being a DECT unit from Uniden and the previous a DECT unit from VTECH. Neither of those has gotten close to the range and reliability that I'm finding with the Panasonic handset. The Uniden set I most recently had would suddenly say "Out of Range" during a call when I was less than 30 feet from the base! I have gotten two houses down in my neighborhood with the Panasonic handset with minimal dropouts and good quality. The features I like best are:1) Ability to download address book from base2) When a review missed calls on any handset, all the handsets (and base) clear the missed call3) Ability to review messages on answering machine from any handsetI haven't found any cons yet, but if/when I do, I'll come back and revise the review.

Great Phone System
I bought by 70-year-old mother the system this phone goes with. She now has a phone in strategic locations in case something happes, she does not need to go far to answer, etc. It worked great for her so my wife and I got a set for our house. Works great, the sound quality is excellent, the range is really good, the features are relatively high-end. The only complaint that I have is about the answering machine. I cannot find a way (so I do not think there is one) to make it beep when there is a message. There is a light that comes on, but there is no audible warning. Copying the address book around from base to each phone is handy.Overall, great system, would defintely recommend it for a land-line.

Sits nicely in the hand
I got this handset for my phone, so I could have sets in multiple locations. I know these are wireless and can be attached to your clothing and walk around, but I way too often find myself in the bedroom with the phone in the living room or vice versa. I knew the drill, as I already had a handset, however, this I had to pair myself. The instructions were a little bit confusing, but probably because I expected beeps I didn't get. I pressed the pairing button for 5 seconds, and then put the handset in the charger, and hoped that was it. I didn't see the messages I expected, but it may have been me waiting for beeps and not paying attention.Today I confirmed that they were paired, by sending my phone list from the phone to the handset. Let me review this handset with pros and cons:Pros====* Handset is light. It is a small handset, it doesn't weigh much. It feels a little bit plasticy, but I like the way it sits in my hand.* When you let a call go to the answering machine, you can hear the message on the phone. I like to screen calls from numbers I don't know, and this feature is nice when the CID isn't working (if for example the sender has a secret number). I can listen to the message, and if it someone I want to speak with, I can pick it up without having to go to the phone.* Listening to messages on answering machine is easy. The menus are easy enough to find your way around so you can tap into the answering machine on the phone and listen to messages.Cons====* Menus are a little bit confusing. While I can generally find all I need, it takes a little while before I find it. I sometimes quit by pressing the "Off" button and start again. I think they could have been done a bit more intuitively, but I have yet to not find what I am looking for.I haven't used this handset enough to establish how good the sound quality is, but I will get back with more info as soon as I have some.
