Timberland Men's West Haven Plain-Toe Chukka Boot

I ordered the boots on Monday, and they arrived very quickly in Thursday afternoon. They were packed very well, and the box was completely in tack without being crushed. My first impression was as I thought, Timberlands are always made very nicely! The stitching was outstanding and completely flawless! I did order them a half size smaller (11.5) and they fit perfectly. So if your looking for the right fit keep that in mind. They are a bit of a ankle bitter though, I imagine they will be until they break in a bit more. For that reason I gave them 4 stars.

After reading all the previous comments, I ordered 1/2 size small, so the boots were initially snug on my feet (on the sides). After wearing them several times for a couple of hours, walking around a lot, the leather did stretch and now feel much more comfortable. Be aware, these boots may feel uncomfortable & stiff the first few times out, especially around the ankle. However, once broken in, I can now wear them all day.Stitching looks really good & the Tan Fog color is great. Soles are legit, did well in cold & rainy weather recently, in an urban environment anyway.Only regret is that the insole is not very thick & the arch support is so-so. If I had known this ahead of time, I might have just ordered my regular size and put some Superfeet insoles in instead. In fact, this is what I might recommend to anyone reading these comments, if you wanted to get these boots & planned on covering some miles in them. Hope this helps.

Great quality! As usual with timberland, I've always been satisfied. These boots are likely to last forever. Look great too! Rather elegant, but casual enough to wear with jeans. Wouldn't go well with a suit of course, but any pants and shirt, absolutely. Having said that, just like any robust leather boot, these seem rock hard the first time you put them on. But you just have to break them in, which will take a couple of days. Also, anyone who's not used to wearing boots, will find (these and any other) boots uncomfortable around the ankles at the beginning, because they're not used to wearing anything at all around the ankles. But it's a great product and I absolutely recommend it.

They're beautiful shoes, a little rough on the ankles until the leather breaks in and the size is strange. Normally I wear a 13 or 12.5 I got the 13s and and they are skinny on my foot almost tight but yet too long. Still look great tho. They were really scuffed up when they arrived inside the box & I have to stain & polish them to look good which sucked but still great looking shoes.

Very nice looking. But the leather is hard and hurts where it hits my leg around the opening. I'm hoping it softens up with use, but I can't wear them for more than a couple of hours right now. Was thinking of leather softener, but I'm worried about marring the color.

I have never gotten more attention from my shoes! They fit well even though my foot runs a bit wide. You will need socks to protect your ankle from the inner leather up top but other than that very comfortable and stylish.

Well made nice leather and stylish. A little stiff but with some wearing they should soften a bit.
