Kurt Adler 14-Inch 8-Point Star with Center Gem Treetop

My husband and I saw this star in a picture and fell in love. We're all about multi-colored lights and the topper we'd purchased previously simply didn't match, and frankly, looked too small for our fat, 7 ft tall tree.The size of this star is absolutely perfect. It looks like it was meant for our tree, and it's colors match the lights on our tree so much better than the periwinkle option we had previously. Plus, this topper doesn't blink (our old one did), so we don't have to worry about the chaos of lights blinking completely out of sync.Like many reviewers mentioned, the back of this topper isn't finished, but that doesn't bother us at all, as our tree sits in the corner. It's sturdy and easy to position on any tree.Our ONLY complaint...it's not as brightly colored as it appears in pictures. The colors are a bit muted in real-life, but photos make them appear more LED looking. They're not. It's not a big enough problem to turn us off this tree topper...we love it...but it is worth noting if you're considering this option for your tree.I'd definitely purchase this star again.

Very big! Not a bad thing for me as I have a 9' tree. You will have to be creative in attaching it to your tree. It either flops forward or backwards. It is a pretty tree topper, bigger than I have seen in stores. A nice product, however, being that it is one sided and a bit of a pain to attach I think it may be slightly overpriced. Pretty though.

We moved and the corner where the tree was is much bigger then our old house so we could go with a bigger tree. Our old star was smaller and didn't look right and it didn't light up and the top of the tree was so dark because of it. This star is perfect! It lights up, is much larger and looks great on our 9" tree. I wasn't sure about all the colors at first but it's really cute up there and brings out all the other colors in the ornaments and lights on the tree.Only con is, the little wire cone that lets it sit on the tree really is too small. I stretched it out as much as I could but I needed to twist tie it to the top of the tree to really hold it straight or it would lean forward quite a bit. Twist tie helped though and it looks great now. Easy and quick fix.

The front is nice. But they neglected to show you the back on the web pics. That's because it doesn't have a backing. Just a clear plastic sheath around the lights. Nice! But hey, who cares? As long as you adjust your tree just right, no one will ever know..... Make sure your tree is tucked into the corner otherwise return this for the Kurt Adler star that has a back to it as well as a front assuming they make one.

We average 6ft fresh trees every year and the proportions of this star was perfect! For our little kids' sake, our tree is filled with colored retro LED lights and we didn't think a white star would suit it well. Most colored (and lit up) stars are too cheesy for our taste but this one is lovely with an almost art deco flair. We expected the open back and it's not an issue since our trees are always in a corner. It plugged in easily to our first string of lights and was easily secured on a sturdy Canaan branch. Thanks for bringing a long search to an end!

Its cute, it would have been better if the bulbs were led. It has a classic christmas vibe, which was nice. Just a word of warning mine was broken when I got it, so order early in case you need to return it

It's HUGE! The best star I've ever had and people who've never been to my house compliment me on it. It's so much better than what there is in stores. We tied it to our artificial tree using zip ties because that spiral would've made it too tall and also it didn't seem secure for such a large tree. The lights on our tree are multicolored but even though the lights on this star are white, they work because they shine behind the stained glass panels that are multicolored. It plugs in to our pre-lighted tree for convenience. I love it so much. It looks both whimsical and elegant. Our tree features the old mercury glass ornaments and this looks right in place like nothing I've seen in stores.

I really wanted to add a colorful star to the top of my tree this year and this one is perfect! I ordered another model earlier but was I was very disappointed in the size of it so I returned it. This one was the perfect size for my 8' tree.
