My silicon soldering mat arrived safely, quickly and well packaged, and it is absolutely fabulous. I bought it to sit in my 'Lap tray' which it is just slightly to large for. I like it so much that I just can't bring myself to cut the mat, so I will have to do it the harder way and rebate the tray edges.I love all the little differently sized tray sections which will hold and isolate all the components of whatever I might be tinkering with. Another major plus for me is that it is so beautifully smooth that I intend to use it as a mouse mat most of the time. This will insure that I know exactly where to find it when I need it for use with my hot glue guns or if I need to do a soldering job.This mat really stays put on every surface that I have tried it on so far. The quality and finish is amazing, and quite unlike anything I have come across before. My wife wants me to get the smaller version for her 'Quilling' and jewellery making, and she thinks that it will also double as a mouse mat for her too. I am unsure as to the virtues of the " anti-static silicone" that the mat has been sprayed with, but I can testify that most dust and small particles are easily removed with my mini-vac, and if I spray it with my shower head, it is so hydrophobic that it becomes instantly dry. It is also apparently backed with a 10 year warranty, although I could find no paperwork to back this up. We love this mat and have no hesitation in recommending it with a full five star rating.

Really please with my purchase
A very useful, heat resistant mat, that has a variety of uses. It's great, when soldering or working with hot glue, but also great for holding small screws ect.The size is ideal as it gives me plenty of space to work while not being overly cumbersome.I am going to get another one for my girlfriend as it will be perfect for her hair straighteners. Much safer!

This is a great mat for soldering, a good size too. I make small stained glass pieces so perfect for protecting the worktop
