Much cheaper alternative than replacing whole keyboard!
I am so happy with this keycap set, I was able to finally repair my daughter's Macbook Air UP arrow key. She was apparently missing everything! Key cap, hinge and rubber cup. We had initially gone to an Apple store, hoping her 2017 Mac Air A1466 EMC 3178 would be covered under their Keyboard Replacement Program but it wasn't so even though they found an UP arrow key and hinge and installed it and it was useable, there wasn't a rubber cup to allow it to spring or whatever. I even asked them for trade-in value in case I ultimately had to replace her laptop as it didn't feel right. So I then reached out to the seller for this item and showed them a pic as I couldn't figure out which type of keyboard she had by the pics, and they responded almost immediately telling me what type to order (in this case it was "old version") and after ordering, to message them again that I need a rubber cup too (as it says in the description to do). I am new to all these parts and had to watch the video under this item and some other youtube videos too.And I just received this yesterday and received a new keycap, hinge and 2 rubber cups framed and attached together. No tools were included but I had ordered a computer tool set anyway. I couldn't figure out the rubber cups because they were connected with plastic. Like do I cut out the rubber cup from the plastic too? There was also some adhesive included which I thought I needed somehow and realized later it was probably to keep the small parts from getting lost while working. I wish there was a note with some instructions about the rubber cups. I ended up seeing a video on youtube where they were selling a rubber cup with a base and one without and they showed how to place it. At first I thought I could just drop in the rubber cup after installing the hinge, but realized after I installed the hinge that it would've been better to cut out the rubber cup, leaving a base and placing it before the hinge. After a lot of trials because the pieces are so small, at one point I even accidentally separated the hinge from itself, the 2 sides finally latched on and I was able to continue following this video to place the keycap on. This really beat Apple's offer to replace the whole keyboard, top case and all for $400-550! Overall I am super satisfied and recommend this seller and keycap set. I was detailed in this review because I saw some negative reviews where people complained and this is the only seller I found on Amazon that includes a rubber cup once requested, and 2 at that! Thank you. I saved a lot of money!

Right size, Perfect fit
So my kitty cat, Harvey, loves to lay on my laptop and apparently his little claws hooked right under the keys. And I couldn't find the hinge part of the key because my room has the shaggy kind of carpeting. After a week of looking, I decided to order this key. It came with the key and hinge. It does not have the little rubber piece but that's okay because I had found mine. It was very easy to install. And works perfectly like nothing ever happened and like if it's always been there. It came new and the person who shipped it made sure it steady and not shaking around by taping it to a piece of card stock. I also decided to buy a keyboard cover while I was at it but that's a review for another seller. This was for a MacBook Pro A1502

Make sure you just need the two pieces
The key is an exact match for the macbook air mid-2013 it was needed for.Be careful though, this listing doesn't include the little rubber springy piece. If your key fell off but the little rubber "nipple" is still there, then it is probably okay. Otherwise you'll need a third piece that isn't included. I can't imaging that piece is terribly expensive, it would be nice if the seller updated this listing to include all three pieces.Search youtube for a video on how to install this key. There's one from another keyboard replacement company that shows the process in detail. This is relatively straightforward to do, but you will need tweezers, a very small (think eyeglass repair) screwdriver, and possibly a magnifying glass.

Worked perfectly on my (2012) 13â MacBook Air, key feels natural when typing, visually identical to Apple OEM
My wife has a 2012 MacBook Air and her âFâ key was kindly removed by (then) 2 year old son. Subsequently the MacBook Air sat around in corners feeling neglected. This (very inexpensive) replacement key (and switch mechanism) worked perfectly. I did have to email and request for the replacement rubber bumper (which sits underneath the key), but the seller was very quick to respond and accommodate me. Not everyone will need the rubber bumper replacement, hence why it is not included. Now the MacBook Air is back in daily use :)While some may ding a star for not having instructions included, you can easily find dozens of How-To videos on YouTube.

Great replacement key, just as described!
Wonderful replacement for my Macbook pro. I have had this computer since 2012 and, consequently, many of the keys have worn out. Instructions made the it easy to replace and I can now type again with a new-looking set of keys!

Didn't fit
Actually could use a better explanation for the product. model numbers are good, but give real year ranges and say where to get the information my computer was december 2018, 'Old version' without the screen bar at the top and without the newest key caps. i went off of relative information and the info in the description didn't help.
