Great power, but two things I don't like
First thing I don't like is it doesn't have built-in fuses. Not a biggie, but all other amps do. Second, the speaker output terminals are terrible. They are too small to fit Raw 12 gauge ofc wire, and they're too small for the couple different kind of fork terminal connectors I have laying around. Had to force them in. But it does sound great!

This amp is powerful. The produces a high quality sound from my 12 inch sub. Highly recommend.

Kicker for the win!
Was running a Rockford fosgate r2-500x1 amp for my L7R102 but wasn't getting the boom I was looking for and bought the cxa800.1 amp and now gat damn it's wangin! It's pushing 600W at 2 ohms 100w more than the 500w rms but don't go crazy on the gain!

Robust amplifier.
This is a great amplifier! Robust, compact, and powerful. This will power a subwoofer easy. And another plus side is the price

I was just trying to upgrade my current amp with this one, just a matter of a few wires but as soon as I turned it on the protection light came on. I then looked for what could be the cause for about 2 min then I started seeing smoke coming out of my subwoofers so I disconnected the power to the amp and the smoke cleared. Turned out that the amp blew up both 12" subs, using a volt meter found out that as soon as it is powered on 50 VDC comes out of the output (where the speakers connects on the amp). I've owned and installed Audio systems for over 25 years and I've never seen that happen before. Don't recommend buying.
