Nuvo jFlute Upgrade Kit - Black

This additional upgrade attachment is the perfect fit to my Nuvo JFlute 2.0 and still oh so light. I was relieved that all the attachments and parts still fits inside my JFlute case, because I was really concerned about that.

I already wrote a review for the Nuvo Flute so I’ll keep this short but I bought this kit with the donut head flute and it saved me money vs buying the student flute up front so I’d recommend doing that. It’s an amazing deal because you kind of get two instruments out of it. The foot joint doesn’t slide in as easily as a regular metal flute would but it has the notches for you to line up and the flute should come with some grease so I didn’t have a problem getting it in with a little shove.The only con is the head joint and body don’t have matching notches like a metal flute would so you have to eyeball it to make sure it’s perfectly in line with the keys. It’s a little annoying but that’s just me nitpicking. Overall buying the flute and upgrade kit together is a great deal and I’d recommend it

I always was interested in learning to play the flute. I thought the jFlute would be a good start. I then added this upgrade. I generally like the instrument, and I can see where I have a lot to learn. I was excited to begin learning, but I am disappointed that when I tried to install the C foot, it would not twist at all to lock into the proper position. The stopper at that end of the jFlute does twist and lock properly, so that is working. The issue seems to be with the C foot. It is close to the right position, but it is off and it is not locked. I don't know if it is useable this way. I would hate to have to try to buy another to get something that works. I would have given it 5 stars if not for this.

Good, serviceable flute for hobby playing. Sound is not spectacular, but it is good enough for my purposes. Only real downside is I live in a hot, humid area, and the rubber finger pads got sticky to the touch over time.
