Rome Industries 2009 Pudgie Revolution Spiral Bound Pie Iron Cookbook, Color , Black

This book actually EXCEEDED my expectations. The quality and creativity of the recipes in this book is just awesome!! I have been making "pudgies" of all kinds for decades (breakfast pudgies with egg, sausage, bacon and cheese, pizza pudgies, Reuben pudgies, etc.), but so many of the recipes in this book take pudgies to the next level in ways I never dreamed possible! They use such creative ingredients and combinations!! Sure, there are a couple of recipes that don't appeal to me, but that's just like any other recipe book. The REAL advantage to this book is... through the use of various creative ingredients, flavor combinations, food genres... this book shows you that the possibilities are truly endless!! So much inspiration!! The recipes are well organized and easy to follow, the photos and graphics are really nice, and the whole book is just really well-designed... almost like a multipage infographic!! I can't WAIT to try the "Crabulous Rangoon" pudgie!!! Holy CRAP it's making my mouth water!!! Well done Pudgie Revolution!! Fantastic book!!

I had carefully reviewed different brands of pie irons, and settled on the Rome Industries brand because it is the one used/recommended by the Wisconsin pie iron chefs who wrote the Pudgie Pie Revolution cookbook(s). We have used our irons a few times over our charcoal grill & over a fire, & it has always produced perfect pies. But, I FIRMLY BELIEVE that what has contributed to our success was the purchase of this cookbook to go along with because it describes exactly how to prepare the food & pie irons according to what type of outer layer you'll be using. Without the cookbook, we would've been lost. This spiral bound cookbook provides essential details about how to ensure your pies turn out right. Sturdy pages with tons of colorful pictures and descriptions. And, it has recipes for pudgie pies that I never would've dreamed of, from sweet to savory; from breakfast - dinner - dessert. We recently made the Crab Rangoon recipe, & it was stellar! We have picked out multiple other recipes to make in the near future, & we always have this handy to use as our guide every single time. For people who want to make unique pudgie pies, & have them turn out right, this is the cookbook to purchase. I keep waiting for the 2nd version to become available.

Easily applicable recipes for camping. Now we have more to cook over the fire than hot dogs and 'smores. It gave me ideas for our own recipes too.

This is the second copy that I bought. One was for me a year ago and this new copy is for a friend. I love pudgie pies and this book adds to that love! The photos are great and the recipes are in a brief, simple format. From quick and easy to more complex pudgies, its all there. The recipes add to, and encourage, pudgie creativity rather than take that away from you. Five star recommendation!!!

I have to say the book is very imaginative. I wanted something for my grandkids to have ideas for going camping. Some of the recipes took several ingredients and ingredients not already on hand. Strange combinations. I guess if you don't go camping and want to experiment at home it would be interesting, but out of the whole book, there were one or two I would actually try to make :(

This book is AWESOME! Perfect for any pudgie pie lover. I got this as a gift for my fiancé to go with his new pudgie pie maker. It is full of so many awesome recipe ideas. I especially love all of the creative names for them 😂 Very funny and cool! He’s going to love it.

Make sure you notice this is NOT an actual pie iron! It is a stupid cookbook! Just because it is between all of the other actual irons and you might make the mistake that I did. Then you have to pay over $5 to return it so that's hardly with the trouble. Waste off money and misleading because the picture makes it look like an iron and it's featured in the pie iron section.....but it's a BOOK!!!!! Way to make a fool of people!

Nice pudgie recipe book. Well laid out with a good number of recipes. There's a nice, large picture of every sandwich too. Highly recommended to get you started with making the campfire even more fun.

Was a little surprised at first as I thought it was the pie iron and cookbook. We went through the cookbook and have been very happy with it, so it was a good ordering error on my behalf!

What an Inspirational Cookbook. Jaffles for every meal of the day using breads pastry and every conceivable thing you can image!!!

So many recipes I would never have thought to try camping. Can't wait to use it with my new cast iron. Just have to wait until its not -30 out eh?
