Jiva Organics Organic Nutmeg Whole 8 ounce Bag - 100% Natural & Non-GMO Spice

For my recipes I'd always used pre-ground nutmeg; this past year I'd decided to order whole spices and grind my own. What a difference! Nutmeg is one of those spices that evokes warm memories of Fall and Winter baking, family get togethers, cozy times in front of the fire on a cold day. This nutmeg exceeds my expectations. When the bag arrived I had to open it right away to see how it looked and smelled. The aroma is amazing! My husband likes it too. I will hopefully never use pre-ground nutmeg again. The first recipe I used this in was pumpkin muffins using our home-grown roasted jarrahdale pumpkin. So pleased with the results. Thank you for a fresh, delicious product!

If you enjoy nutmeg, this is a great value for whole nutmeg. Freshly-ground nutmeg is much better than nutmeg in bottles that you can buy at the store. It's wonderful on hot coffee drinks, or added to recipes. It's so much more flavorful. I use freshly ground nutmeg at home, but I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend who loves freshly-ground nutmeg on her homemade latte in the morning. She loved it!

The best smell ever!

The nutmegs are a good size, making it easier to hold when grating. They have a good, strong flavor, I will buy this brand again.

So the best way to integrate a spice or herb into your diet, in my experience, is make a vodka tonic using ingredients like nutmeg, cloves, garlic, fenugreek, black cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, ashwaganda, and eleuthero root.
