If you need a mechanical hard drive, it's gonna be Seagate or WD
Hard drives are a tough item to write a review on because their entire usefulness to someone is based on longevity. Until I've used one until its literal death, it is difficult to state with authority that they're reliable. I've had four of them in a NAS RAID 5 array for a bit short of a year now and they're not showing any signs of wear. I run a Jellyfin server off the NAS which is used pretty frequently and I store everything besides game installs on it, but that's not intensive usage. If advertising is to be believed, these drives should last my entire lifetime of 24/7 usage with 1,000,000 hours MTBF. I managed to grab these on sale for $100 each and I feel like that's the sweet spot. I don't think I would have opted for them at $150 each, especially since Seagate has not made it clear what exactly it is that sets their "NAS" drives apart from a "normal" hard drive. It's likely at this juncture that I would purchase more of the same drives if I need replacements down the road, or decide to simply add more storage. I've never encountered problems fetching any file from my NAS and it operates with the same sort of snappiness as if the files were on the local PC I was accessing it from. This may be ZFS optimization at work though. In all, Seagate is one of the few manufacturers that anyone actually trusts with storage, and that's for good reason. These drives in particular have 2 year data recovery and 5 year warranty (The lengths of time I feel like should be the reverse) so there is at least a willingness from Seagate to ease my concerns.

One year of use and all is good...
I've had two of the Seagate IronWolf Pro drives installed in my Synology DiskStation DS218J NAS device for about a year now. One drive serves as a backup drive to my network. The other is a drive dedicated to playing video media on my home theater system. Both drives work great. No streaming issues when playing videos (on my prior drives I had this issue from time to time) and no errors on either drive. These have been reliable drives and I believe they should have at least a five-year lifespan. So far, so good.

Replace Every Four Years
I have used these Seagate IronWolf Pro hard drives in some RAIDs and backup drives for years. Each of them has survived over four years before any have failed. This is less extensive a test than those by Backblaze. Just budget to purchase replacements every 4 years and you won't be surprised when one fails.

Great Hard Drive
This is a great hard drive perfect for my Synology NAS Drive. Very reliable, fast, reasonable priced and no failures so far after years of use.

Rock Solid
The two hard-working Seagate drives in my Synology NAS were wearing out. I chose two of these as their replacements. Solidly built, lightning fast, highly recommended.

Once upon a time I bought a Western Digital Red 4TB disc. Within 6 weeks the disc got corrupted. And I got a replacement. At first they wanted to give me a factory re-issued disc, but in the EU I am entitled to a new disc, so after getting HOT that's what I got ;-) That disc held about a year or so and it went with bad sectors. Western digital replaced the drive with a re-certified (or something like that) disc. That held about a year or so before it also lost it's spirit. Then I decided to switch to Seagate Pro. I think that was about a year ago on a single drive Synology NAS. In august 2021 Western Digital announced that their MyBook Live NAS which I did not dare to connect to Internet anymore because it's firmware was not updated by Western Digital anymore, got security issues. Users that had them connected to internet reported that their drives were deleted by some viral bug. I used a single bay Synology NAS, but kept the WD MyBook Live NAS as a Back-up drive. So I did not need it to be connected to internet. But still I was uncertain about the WD product. And even more because in the past I already experienced another WD external drive that without warning gave up it's joy for life. So I decided it was time for a two bay NAS. Naturally I did not want any Western Digital product anymore. So again I bought a Seagate Iron Wolf Pro, to go with a new two bay Synology NAS. And this seller delivered it on the spot. On time as promised.
