Young rabbits love this food
Bought to feed young cottontail rabbits that were rescued from an abandoned nest. The rabbits absolutely love this food; they actually smell it from across the room and come running to the food when placed in their hutch. Also a great source of nutrients that young rabbits require.

My Go To
Repeat Buyer! Doesn’t last long because my bunny eats a lot but I’m assuming it’s delicious because it’s the only brand she’ll eat. Idk- I personally haven’t tried it. Comparable in price to many other brands so the price is good for this sized bag. Will buy again

Good, Fresh Feed That Needs Larger Sizes . . . .
Getting a young bunny for the first time in years made me get this juvenile Garden Select formula. I have been using the adult Garden Select formula with my older rabbit, and consider the ingredients in it better, yet it does not have enough protein for young rabbits or wooly rabbits. Recently, I got a Lionhead boy who has as much hair as an angora and am mixing this juvenile feed with the adult one. Wooly rabbits are supposed to have 18% protein and this juvenile formula has 17%. (The adult has 12%.) He didn't like the adult formula that much, and much prefers the mixture of the two. All my bags of Garden Select have been fresh with far away expiration dates. I only wish they had larger bags of the juvenile, as they do with the adult. There is no reason to only have a small size. P.S. 1/30/23: My wooly male's urine smells strong and unpleasant when he eats only the adult Garden Select food, but not when he eats only this juvenile food. My wooly girl really likes it, too, and she is supposed to have 18% protein. So, I'm feeding the boy only the juvenile and mixing the two with my wooly girl. I'm not sure what I will feed my juvenile Holland Lop when she turns one in the spring, however. Maybe a mixture, too.

I have a Holland Lop buck that came home on Purina pellets that were alfalfa based and had soy, corn, etc.... which are all known to contribute to G.I stasis. I had tried to transition Lennon over to Sherwood pellets, but have heard that's like offering a toddler Kraft Dinner and then giving them kale, and Lennon said no dice, so we nixed the Sherwood and went with the Garden Select version of Oxbow. Garden Select doesn't have soy or corn products like their Essentials line does. It took a little while for Lennon to eat them.... I was determined to out-stubborn the tiny dictator and I finally won! He's now excited for breakfast and dinner! (Now the trick will be getting him off the baby alfalfa based pellets and onto the less tasty adult timothy pellets.) The pellets are a nice green (with pellets, the greener the better) and they smell pretty tasty, as far as pellets go. Lennon told me that if I'm not going to give him his "mcdonalds" pellets, and he has to eat these ones, then he would say 10/10, will eat again! (I can actually even use them as treats, he enjoys them so much! Though sometimes, I throw the little guy a bone and use his Purina pellets as forage treats. He always asks me if he's dying or something when I give him those ones. He's like, "what's going on? Why are you giving me these? Why are you being so nice? Am I dying?")
