Ecosmart Fsa Nfsml Flow Sensor

Very easy to install and get our water heater working again. ZERO help from ecosmart tech support or online documentation. I only stumbled on this kit while searching for ecosmart parts and the reviewers all seemed to have the same symptoms as me so I gave it a shot. Glad I did!

This part was pretty easy to install but be prepared for all the water that comes out. I ended up drying the water inside the unit with my hair blow dryer. Working great so far and it saved me a visit from a plumber or having to just buy a new unit.

Perfect fit did the job! Easy to replace without directions!

The part is exactly what it says, perfect replacement and worked for me with no issues at all. I noticed it does have a bit longer delay than the original flow sensor, i.e. it takes longer to come on after a faucet is opened and longer to go off after a faucet is closed. That's not a problem tho (did make my heart skip a beat at first tho). This part exactly matches the original, making it an easy replacement in terms of the steps to follow (materials may even be superior to original). The most difficult part is moving all the other wires out of the way to get the old parts out, new parts in, and not lose any screws in the process.

ECO 11:Did a quick diagnostics and determined the flow sensor got water into the electronic part of the sensor and was corroded. Ordered this part on Saturday got it Monday morning and 20 minutes later hot water again. Looks to be an OEM part and possibly upgraded to prevent water intrusion in to the electronic section of the sensor.

Thus allowed me to get hot water again but, upset I needed it this soon. My water heater is less than 5 years old.
