After ten years of use one of the original knobs on our Wolf Model L342212 Hood cracked and fell off. These replacement knobs arrived next day from Amazon, and are a perfect fit. However, our original knobs were a dull gray, these knobs are shiny; still plastic, but shiny stainless steel looking plastic. So we replaced both knobs (these knobs were sold in pairs) so the colors matched. I would buy again.

Searched all over the internet, and it is not clear how one buys the OEM version. I suppose one can go to a Wolf retailer and ask them to order, how long does that take, if it is even possible? And how much?- Left is the Original, broken, right is the 3rd party $14 for 2 knobs. My guess is there are 25 cents of material cost per knob. The alternative is to use a plier eveytime to turn on fan or light.- The original quality is mediocre, it is plastic. The 3rd party is shiny, not brushed, as everyone else reports. It is slightly thinner than original. Even the original is a flawed design. The plastic in the center should be much thicker. Yes, even Wolf cheaped out. Even a $15000 range oven hood 10 years old uses cheap thin plastic?- I could not get the 3rd party knob to go in. The only way was to take out the metal sleeve, put it on the hood first, then push in the knob. Why?- The tiny metal sleeve is decent quality in the original (black), and very inferior thin sheet metal in the 3rd party (shiny). Thus the knob has a hard time attaching.- Since the plastic is so thin, I decided to use epoxy all around the center hole to reinforce, not easy to do. I hope with the epoxy, I will get several years use before it cracks.

One of them didn’t fit perfectly, I had to open the hole a little bit more with a knife.

I have a Wolf range.... and the parts are expensive. My local service provider wanted $75 for ONE.... these are comparable quality and last just as long as the Wolf brand. I honestly hate that the inner guts of the Wolf are plastic and built to break, these are built the same, but at least I'm not spending an arm and leg to replace them. My kitchen is active, lots of clumsy hands rushing about and stuff happens. Good to know I can replace the knobs at a reasonable price.
