Lobo Holy Basil Seasoning Paste 1.76 Oz. (Pack of 3)

I enjoyed it very much; It's spicy :)

I was really expecting paste to be focused on the basil and herbs, but there is so much chili paste and seeds that the herbs are kind of lost. It is VERY spicy. I had already added red Thai chili paste to the curry I was making and unfortunately couldn’t add the whole packet without making it too spicy. It does taste good so 4 stars and I will use the other packets but I don’t think I will buy this again. I would rather use a paste made primarily of the herbs and have better control over the amount of heat.

As it's so hard to find Thai basil here, I gave this a try hoping I could get some real authentic basil flavor. I was wrong! The flavor is not good, and I had to add a bunch of other ingredients to make it taste better and edible. Not for me but others might like it.

To preface, I generally like most Lobo products, however this one, another too hot to be edible.Yeah, you get some basil flavor, but the heat overwhelms it.As for value, this package is to make about 1/4 pound of ground meat, basically as single serving, too expensive.As for eggs, I cracked and scrambled three eggs into the meat mixture, to try and tame the heat, that helped a bit, but my dog finished the stuff off, I hope she doesn't suffer today from doing so.

Absolutely delicious! And I want some more please.
