Perfect for Going Through Security at the Airport (used inside of cat carry-on bag)
I had to bring my cat on an airplane, and learned that to go through security you must remove the animal from the animal carry-on bag and walk through the metal detector holding it. I was horrified at the idea of carrying around my crazed once-feral cat in a holiday-crowded airport security line. I had images of her clawing me to within an inch of my death and escaping my grip. I purchased this as a "Kitty Straight Jacket" and it worked like a charm. Once inside it, she was actually quite calm (it took three of us to get her into the bag, but that's another story). When the time came to remove her from the outer carry-on bag, I simply used the handles to lift her out, then held her like a baby as we walked through the metal detector. Once back inside the carry-on bag, I unzipped this bag, thinking she would like to be less constrained, but she actually chose to remain inside. I think it gave her comfort to be bundled up like a burrito. She even napped on the flight, which of course was delayed! Very happy with this purchase.

OK but not great for fighting felines
We've used this grooming bag just once (so far), with my most difficult cat, a pastel tortie. If you know anything about torties, they are feisty and ours is no exception. Cutting her nails is like World War Kitty. She fights, kicks, bites and writhes to avoid the torture. So, I opted to try the grooming bag to control her antics and work on one paw at a time, hopeful she wouldn't tear my face off in the process. I said "we" on purpose. You cannot work with a feisty, furious cat by yourself. Even with the bag, you need a small army, or at least one extra person to do the cutting while you hold down the writhing cat.Our first attempt with the bag was chaos. The cat didn't know what was coming, which made getting her into it pretty easy. Once we zipped Piper in and wrapped the Velcro around her neck, she realized the bag was actually a torture device and not a grocery bag in which to play. All enclosed legs went stiff and rigid, making it tricky to hold her down without getting popped by claws poking through the bag. She yowled ferociously which brought the dog and other cat over to defend her honor. It was hard enough holding down the pissed off cat, but with a 100-pound dog and a curious male cat both sticking their faces into the melee, we were suddenly outnumbered. We put away the other animals and regrouped. Piper found herself in the Cone of Shame -- so she couldn't bite us. We zippered her back into the bag (much harder the second time around as she knew what was coming and refused to lay down). One we wrestled her into the bag and zippered and Velcro'd her in, I held her down firmly to the floor, and talked directly to her face, hoping to calm her. We got two paws done before she busted through the neck as the Velcro gave way. We'll try again in a week; maybe she'll forget (hah).Pro: it does contain the cat -- unless you have a determined (bratty) feline who can muscle through the neck openingCon: the zippers at the back end don't always line up with the legs, so you wind up fighting for a stiff leg through a small opening. I didn't want to hurt the cat, so I tickled and prodded until she relented.

It's really a Cat SAVING Bag!
This should be a part of any pet owner's cat care essentials. It is absolutely great for giving a cat a subcutaneous fluid injection (SQ or SubQ).When my wife is home it's pretty straightforward to give our Russian Blue cat, Kitsa, her SQ; she even purrs when we do it. But when I attempt SQ by myself it's a different story. Kitsa seems to know I'm in a wheelchair, so she runs. Needless to say the whole experience becomes much more stressful for the both of us.I was so stressed the last time I did SQ I went online to see if there was any solution. Someone mentioned a grooming bag and after reviewing the Top Performance Cat Grooming Bag I was confident it would be a great help. I had it overnighted to me (an extremely rare occurrence). As soon as I received it I checked it out. It looked great. I put it next to the place Kitsa likes to spend most of the day and within minutes she climbed into it and seemed to really like it. Kitsa probably spent an hour in it initially, then would periodically revisit it.Today when I prepared to give her the SQ she was already in the bag, as if waiting for me. Even in a wheelchair it was easy for me to position her in the bag and then zip it up. The top zipper can unzip in both directions which makes it perfect for getting to the scruff of the neck. Once Kitsa was safely ensconced it only took a few minutes to give her the SQ. When I was done, I even picked her up with the handles and set her down in her basket. Believe it or not she didn't jump out of the bag when the velcro collar was undone. She actually remained in the bag for a few more minutes.I don't know how much more time Kitsa has but I know that we'll both live with less stress now that we've got the Top Performance Cat Grooming Bag.

Size Large Is Too Small
A cat grooming bag is a great idea, but this bag is just too small. I bought Large, their largest size, but my cat wouldn't fit in it. He's a normal adult cat, 12 pounds. So I think this company needs to make an Extra Large size. Next I'm going to try the Cat-in-the-bag Cozy Comfort Carrier, that cat bag comes in an XL Size.

Worth buying !
I love this product because my Siamese cat is really aggressive! I have cat scratches all over my arms from trying to clip their nails. This bag is almost easy to use, but again, my cat is feisty. So, it might be more difficult for me compared to other cat owners. I only wish the openings for the front and back paws were smaller or at least the zipper doesn’t go down on its own because my cat will keep bringing her feet inside the bag since I can’t secure them. Otherwise, this bag helps greatly and gets the job done. She stays out and then I give her a treat after :)
