Had to wash several times to soften.

- This is my second pair of Scrub Zone scrub pants; I got the first pair (white) for gardening, but ended up unable to garden and used them to go to physiotherapy and physician's visits. That first pair was long - I had deliberately ordered "tall" so I could tuck them into my Muck Boots. This pair is regular length, and I ordered these specifically for appointments with the Orthopaedist and for when I need to go get imaging done on my hip and back. No metal, EASY on and off, and very comfortable when washed properly, even for someone as fussy as I am about materials ;) .The material is also reasonably cool to wear, which matters A LOT for those of us who live in a hot and humid climate. They are sized lightly, but I wash everything before I wear it so I can't comment on how the sizing feels. - When you do wash them, BE SURE to wash Inside-Out, on Cool or Warm, and on Gentle cycle - dry on Low and pull out while they are still very lightly damp, turn right-side out, and then lay flat of hang to let them dry the rest of the way. It sounds like more of a bother than it actually is,since all of my lightweight color items get washed pretty much the same way. - The XXL in Regular Length fits exactly as I expect an XXL to fit, roomy in the seat. (I can't stand anything tight any more, so I could have gone with an XL but an more comfortable the XXL, especially when sitting in waiting rooms and so on.) - The Color was actually nicer than the photo appears on my monitor - more neutral and a wee bit darker, more like what I'd call a light to medium taupe. - I do add elastic in the waist - I run it through where the ties go and put a few stitches in by hand to hold the ends in place where they won't show. Also, the emphasis in on "lightweight" here - they're *not* designed to be worn for doing heavy-duty construction work, LOL! The stitching is similarly lightweight. I don't think scrubs are generally designed to last for decades, given the things that medical professionals often end up coming into contact with, so if you are looking for heavy-duty work pants, these are not that. - I gave 4 stars rather than 5, because I do need to add elastic, and because the stitching could stand to be a bit sturdier, BUT all in all, these fit my needs well, and the price is decent.

I ordered thinking what I normally wear as far as size would fit. I didn’t see it was UNISEX! Tried them on last night and they are waaay tooo big. My fault but just keep in mind

I am going against what has been said in other reviews concerning size. I wear Med, waist 32 and bought Med. What I found when I tried them on is the drawstrings seem to work a little different. Most of us expect that if we grab the drawstrings and pull the strings out away from us, while pulling the garment back towards us, we can cinch up the drawstrings and tie them off. What I noticed here is the drawstring coming out the right hole on the waist is actually coming from the LEFT side, and visa-versa. Not really an unusual thing, but uncommon. I have gym shorts that do the same thing. So instead of pulling the drawstring out away from your body, pull the left drawstring to the LEFT and the right drawstring to the RIGHT and the waist should cinch up.Word of caution - be sure to tie a knot in each end of the drawstring, else it might come out during the wash.

I read the reviews about size. I wear scrubs daily and wear them out pretty quick. I'm 6' and wear a 38 waist / 32 inseam pant. I went with the large and they fit perfect as far as scrubs go. 2 pockets are nice and handy. No elastic is a plus and they tie securely with a single bow knot. Kinda thin but not see through. Dry quickly. They wash well. Price is just what I was looking for. I got the black ones and they go well with my stylish fruit-of-the-loom pocket tees. I look professional, feel comfortable whether relaxing or saving the world with my intelligent application of exertion. Sometimes I work really hard too. Lotsa sweat but no chafing discomfort. Worn under anti-contamination clothing in high heat and humid conditions. Perfect.

Fits WAY larger than expected. Decent quality.
