If someone in your family has a hearing problem, you know how irritating it is to have to Increase the volume so that person can hear the audio. It literally can cause others to need earplugs!We had the wired tv ears model for years and were excited to find a wireless model. When we bought a smart tv and a conventional soundbar ( you can see it in the picture) Turns out the soundbar wasn’t so great for hearing impaired seniors.TV ears was a super easy set up! Plug and play technology so simple an 80 year old did the install. No more arguments over the TV blaring too loud when watching a sports event or when the grandkids visit. The clarity of the voices and background noise can be easily adjusted with the big button remote. Everyone can enjoy a program at a level volume - hearing aid or not!We did purchase and try another brand of hearing impaired soundbar and sent it back. TV ears is definitely the best! We ended up buying a second one for the bedroom.

The bar was easy to set up and plugged right into my optical port no problems there. Be sure to put a fresh battery in the remote- when I tried my remote out of the box it didn’t work, but I replaced the battery and no problems!I wear hearing aids in both ears and this bar really helps! It’s a good price too!

I'm 68 and have bad hearing. All the TVs have bad sound so I got this today. Their ad makes it sound like it has less bass so old people can hear it. WRONG! It has three settings. BASS, SUPER BASS, and ABNOTIOUS SUPER BASS. The BASS (lowest setting) has so much it pounds my head. It's just like every other sound bar I have bought. Why can't they put a bass control or just a button on it to shut the stuff off? Anyway, this product sucks big jagged rocks and I am sending it back.

This is a GREAT little soundbar if you want clarity of voices in your TV viewing. I had initially ordered a different brand but it was nothing but a hassle... needed a special micro digital audio cable and it still didn't work so had to send it back. That experience left me pretty hesitant on this purchase but man... I'm so glad I got this one. Unplug my old soundbar from the regular digital audio cable that was already run through the room, plug this baby in, turn it on and boom... works like a charm. There is a normal sound setting and two voice settings. The blue light shows on the 1st level and the red on the highest clarity level. Note: these lights don't stay on constantly but the clarity setting stays the same unless you change it. Example: if I have it on the highest setting, the red light will show when I first turn it on or if I hit a button on the remote to show that is the mode it is in. It will only stay on for a few seconds though but the soundbar mode remains on the last selected level.

We got this for our aging parents. It does boost the sound, but didn’t make it crisper for clarity of sound.Also, when the folks muted the TV, the sound bar did not mute. So that was a problem. They used it a few months and then we took it off because it didn’t solve the clarity problem.

This sound bar exceeded my expectations in clarifying/boosting dialogue volume in movies and tv shows. Because of multiple sound and background music channels in media today, dialogue often gets muted and causes problems to those with hearing issues. My tv audio sound was quite muddled because of this and we had to turn the volume way up to hear the dialogue clearly on some sources. This sound bar provides excellent dialogue clarity with an ample volume range that most tv’s can’t duplicate. The 2 level vocal boost works very well and the sound quality for such a small sound bar is quite good. The remote works well. Once you set the vocal boost on blue, (lower) or red, (higher), you can then adjust the volume to a comfortable level. These lights will then turn off but the vocal level setting remains. All in all, an excellent product that does what is supposed to very well.

The voice clarifying mode is great if it would stay on, but after 5 minutes or so it turns off by itself and has to be turned on again. This leaves us straining to hear the tv again when we dont realize the voice mode has gone off This is enough to make it a lemon, but the volume control is poor too. Volume adjustment has to be stepped up and down by pressing the button repeatedly rather than just holding it down. Maybe not a big deal, but it limits volume control to steps when you may want a level that is in between. It could be a good product if they put more quality into the remote and if the sound mode would stay on.
