PT278-35112, PT278-35160 Bed Cleat for 2005-2021 Toyota Tacoma and Tundra - Compatible with Jeep Gladiator,Ram Rail System (2)

Based on other reviews I bought two for my Jeep Gladiator Trail Rail. They took a little jiggling at first to loosen the shaft, but once the screw is far enough back, the “press” feature to make the shaft extend worked fine. Others seemed to have problems with this and it is hard to explain, but you must “loosen” the screw (it goes only so far so it cannot fall out and get lost) and then press so the shaft extends a small “foot” that catches into the rail. On the Jeep, you insert this on one end of the Trail Rail that has a larger opening just for this reason. It is a smart system actually, despite what seems complicated. I love it! Just don’t over-torque anything. It will work right if you have a little patience. Then, once you know how it works, it is very simple and very easy.

Works just like the stock ones that came with my 2021 Tacoma. Finish is a bit different (these are glossier with bumps), but function is the same. These actually tighten to the rails a bit more than the stock ones for an even sturdier fit. Highly recommended for the price.

These also fit the trail rail system on the Gladiator which is what i bought them for.

I recently posted that these did not fit. After fiddling with them for a few minutes I did get them to fit! User error.The way they come shipped the t-slot backplate is snugged up against the cleat back making the gap too narrow to fit into the Trail Rail.Step 1: Loosen knob all the way.Step 2: Push against knob towards the backplate to force the bolt to move. This will increase the gap of the t-slot backplate and the cleat back allowing it to fit into the Trail Rail system.

Easier to engage and disengage on the railing than the originals that came with my RAM 1500 because they are slightly bigger and easier to rotate the mechanism. Only thing is the size of the hole which is smaller to pass my carabiner in compared to the hole of the smaller model that came with my vehicle.

These cleats are actually a little bigger than the cleats that came with the RAM Cargo system. They work excellent. I would highly recommend!!

they fit my stock (2010) tacoma rails perfectly! Only concern is someone will likely steal them so I take them off when not in use.

Have had it on my 2011 tacoma for a few months and they work great. Easy to put and move to new positions if you want.
