I am totally taken with this great line of clever, “tongue in cheek” dog toys. Capt. Muttgan’s bottle of rum was my first purchase but definitely won’t be my last. It’s well made, durable and it’s a good size, it’s big enough for larger dogs, but still a manageable size for my small dog. The diameter of the bottle is small enough that she can pick it up and carry it around to play with.I actually purchased this particular item to use with my dog’s Halloween costume. She’s going to be a pirate this Halloween and what’s a pirate without a good bottle of rum?!Great line of dog toys. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure on durability due to its now just sitting on a shelf. But I felt like a normal dog toy. So if you dog likes to ripe up toys it won't last long.

I have a German shepherd puppy, I got this toy for him when he was really small. He was eventually able to tear it up as he got bigger. However for the price it lasted long than I thought. Overall great toy for puppy’s, and smaller dogs.

Really cute dog toy. My 70lb golden doodle loves it. He’s about 2 years old and fairly gentle with his toys. He used to rip his toys up but I think he realized when they are torn up he can’t play with them so now he tries to be more gentle with his toys. It’s a plush toy so if you have a dog that likes to go rough and destroy their toys then it probably won’t last very long its not like one of those tough dog chew toys but its holding up pretty good for my dog. its one of his favorites now!

Our daughter bought this toy for our dogs. One dog took ownership of it, and gently carried it everywhere with him. Last month we babysat another dog for an extended period. He took the "barkardi" and annihilated it. After he went back home, I replaced the toy for our dog. It is reasonably durable. We have 3 dachshunds that tear up toys and remove squeakers within the first 30 minutes of having a new toy. Although a bit on the pricey side, this toy has held up slightly better than most when faced with our 3-dog demolition team.

My dog has very similar toys that have lasted a while before they ripped, unfortunately this one was able to be ripped and shredded within minutes.
