I knew these were good, because I now have 4 pairs which my autistic teenage son uses for sensory needs. The spares are vital, because he leaves them all over the place, and his carers often fail to notice if he leaves a venue without them. These ear defenders only muffle sound, which is ideal for him, as he has to be able to hear to a certain degree, but the high pitched tones which stress him out are dampened down considerably, and he often wears them in the house to blot out vacuum cleaner noise, and frequently his mother's voice!
