Keto weightlifting
Even before I was keto I was using this product. I always liked that it didn't have any sweeteners or extra carbs that serve no purpose for me gaining muscle. All I want is muscle...not just the weight. I had gotten away from taking protein at all, but was glad to see Jarrow's was still available when I returned to serious weightlifting. It tastes the same to me as before. Plain - it doesn't taste that good, but it mixes easily and now that I've experimented with Stevia and espresso, I have actually found a way to make this taste good.Double shot of espresso, double scoop of Jarrows, 1 packet Stevia, mix with about a cup of water and add ice. That is one healthful cup of iced coffee, great for preworkout. If later in the day I use decaf.Another note - I don't take this product every day. I only use it as a supplement if maybe I'm not that hungry and won't be getting enough protein through my normal diet...which I've mentioned is keto. Some days I'm already approaching 150g protein in my diet and taking whey would be just a waste.

Great flavor, dissolves well (if you do it right)
Delicious.I've had a couple of whey protein shakes before, and they were all nasty.Jarrows is not. Jarrows is good. You should buy Jarrows, and enjoy it after your workout, for a meal replacement, or right before bed to give your body the right tools to rebuild.I did learn that this is best mixed with a blender or shaker bottle, don't expect to just stir it with a spoon/fork and have it dissolve properly. That is... gross. When properly mixed, it is smooth and tasty.I mix mine with milk, cream, and benefiber in the morning for a great protein shake that keeps me satisfied for several hours.I take my second dose after my evening workout, and have found that I sleep better, and am less sore the next morning on the days I make sure I have my protein.I'll be buying more of this... heck, I'll be buying this for the next who knows how long it takes me to lose the 184 lbs I need to lose... I mean, the 175 lbs I have left to lose (thank you Jarrows for being part of my healthy diet!!!)On a side note, I love the fact that there ARE NOT artificial sweeteners in this. Minimal sugar, but still great flavor. This was actually a huge selling point for me, as I really want to avoid any artificial sweeteners.

I love this protein in new package!
I recently purchased vanilla-flavored protein powder, and I was surprised by how much the taste changed depending on the packaging. My first purchase was from iHerb, and it came in an new plastic container. It was smooth, delicious, and had a rich vanilla flavor. When I bought the same protein on Amazon it was in the old packaging, the taste was completely different! Unfortunately, I didn’t like the taste at all—it had a strange aftertaste and was nothing like what I expected. I honestly didn’t expect such a big difference. If you’ve had a bad experience with the old container, don’t give up on this protein just yet—try the new version, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

New to protein powder, a real experience.
First off, this is the first protein powder that I have tried and I am mostly happy with it. Before buying any protein powder research the different types of powders and different brands. This is especially useful if you have any food sensitivity or allergy. I also recommend researching brands especially considering some can contain heavy metals or other chemical irritants, intentional or not. Check for recalls. I found Jarrow Whey to be a good, pure, and clean milk protein. The most noted comments I saw were on taste and solubility. Many proteins that say unflavored mean no artificial flavors like chocolate or vanilla, not tasteless. Based on reviews I prepared myself for it to taste like **** because I wasn't accustomed to it, but to suck it up because I needed the protein. I was pleasantly surprised, it kind of tastes like a weird, mild cheese. While not extremely delicious (I definitely would not have this by itself or in just plain water), it is masked by strong flavors into a sort of milky tasting liquid. I frequently make an instant coffee protein shake and it kind of just tastes like milky coffee. Sometimes I add unsweetened cocoa. I will note that when I do the coffee mix, rather than a smoothie in the blender, the protein gets clumpy and foamy, while not impossible to mix it is frustrating when running late. However given enough time the clumps dissolve and the foam dissipates.Other tips to enjoy whey protein. "I put that **** on everything" quite literally. I try to integrate this protein into 2 or 3 meals a day. -Its great in soups or chili, I would recommend adding a little extra liquid because it acts like a thickener. Corn chowder? Yum!-Hate greek yogurt? Add some protein powder to regular or non fat yogurt and get a more powerful snack. I recommend flavored yogurt or adding fruit, otherwise it starts to taste a little cheesy.-This powder tastes cheesy. Why not add it to comfort food and make super mac'n'cheese or super garlic mashed potatoes. Garlic in the mashed potatoes because the whey is not real cheese and makes the potatoes taste...well...not good.-Add some to instant oatmeal or regular oatmeal. If I try something new that is particularly tasty I'll add it, but there are plenty of recipes online if you are really committed to adding protein where you can. Also any change in diet, especially a drastic one, can cause GI issues. If new to protein powder or have had a consistent lack of protein in your long term diet try to ease it into your new diet, maybe half a scoop instead of a full scoop. This should ease some GI issues associated with fluctuations in diet. It is recommended to ask your doctor before use, stop use if your GI symptoms are severe, and definitely stop use if you appear to have an allergic reaction.I only gave the product four stars because it is under review, most likely for the customers reporting packaging issues, and I have to reorder this in a round about way, which means I will be out well before the product arrives- Happy EatingThe No Longer Protein Deficient Biomedical Engineer

UNFLAVORED Jarrow Protein is the BEST
Unflavored is the Best for Me!!I spent years looking for a protein powder that was versatile… that I could mix in my morning oatmeal without the ‘candy’ flavor overpowering the fresh fruit I use instead of sugar. I took it for granted… it was easy to add to some (not all) other foods. I ordered it 65 times!! I hope Jarrow or Amazon don’t drop the best protein supplement I’ve ever used.
