Excellent album by a firm favorite of mine. They were an awesome band to see live...

Despite the long delay and higher price, I went ahead and ordered this from Amazon so I can replace the record I have had since I was in college. I don't know why Joybringer is listed as a "bonus track" when it was included on the original LP, but as long as it's on the CD I'll be happy. I can't recommend this music highly enough.

A must have LP for prog fans! Every song is a treat for your ears. Saw this tour live in the 70s, when they were opening for Black Sabbath. One of the best shows I ever saw...

Excellent prog rock album from the good times!

Solar Fire is one fine rock album with bits of progressive rock elements to make the experience even better.For those of you who think Manfred Mann Earth Band's only worthwhile song was "Blinded by the Light", this album is NOT for you.The title song is about as catchy and exciting as anything you've heard from the 70's, not to mention quite melodic and the kind of song that would be appropriate at dance parties or whatever. Dancin' with the ladies! "Father of Day, Father of Night" is VERY interesting how I originally thought the verse melody was clumsily-written and completely awful, but suddenly, it grew on me a LOT just a couple hours later when I played it again! Funny how that happens.Make sure this album is a part of your 70's adventurous music collection.

I just recently repurchased this album, and I am absolutely thrilled with the great sounds on it. When I was a kid back in 74 I used to love it, but then it disappeared, like so many things... The musicianship is great, every song develops into great musical expression, interesting guitar and organwork, phantastic. I am sometimes reminded of Gentle Giants contemporary music. Get it if you see it.

For me the best MME album. These releases on the Creature Music label are well re mastered, maybe not quite the audio quality of the original vinyl release but my LP is getting quite long in the tooth and the convenience of the cd is fine.Fabulous music of course, bonus tracks included as a free download is a nice touch.

This is where it all started for me, after hearing some of the album on a late night 70s radio show, I rushed out for a copy .this is another of the so called ,thinking mans rock music, tight,complex guitar keyboard rock,wonderful stuff, Recommended!It made me collect most of their output I was hooked.And to think drummer chris slade went on to join AC/DC ,funny ol world innit!and as a added bonus you get joybringer, which wasnt on the LP!

Leider mit der original Pressung nicht zu vergleichen, klang ist auf mp3 Niveau.Darüber hinaus is die innen hülle ein lackierter pappkarton, wodurch die Platte von vornherein komplett verkratzt ist und bei der minderwertigen press Qualität hört man diese sichtbaren Kratzer auch direkt.Ab in die tonne und ne gebrauchte original Platte bestellen.
