Kare & Kind 200pcs - Earring Hooks-18mm Retail Packaging

I was a bit hesitant to order the gold hooks because they looked so bright and brassy in the picture here, but I was ordering the other colors so decided to go ahead and take a chance on the gold too, hoping they wouldn't be too bad. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and were not the brassy color. They are a normal gold color hook, so don't let the picture scare you. All of these are dainty looking hooks but not flimsy. The wire is sturdy despite being dainty. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.Having said that, I do have a little concerned on the silver hooks. The listing for all of these hooks states surgical steel, but when I received them only the gold and gray specify surgical steel. The silver just states "earring hooks". This is very important to me since my daughter has highly sensitive ears and I know many others do as well. Because of this, I want to be sure that the earrings I make are only surgical steel, so I will have to set the silver ones aside until I can verity that. Hopefully it's just an omission on the packing info.

About 10% of the hooks are missing the coil and ball, but this actually makes for some interesting designs. However, about another 10% of the hooks were either bent to the point they couldn't be fixed, so thin they couldn't be used, or otherwise deformed/mangled. So overall, about 90% of them were usable for my purposes. Based on the cost, they're still a good value.

I made triangle earrings for myself and they are comfortable and the gold color is pretty. The wires are sturdy. All hooks seem well assembled and intact.

I will order from here again as shipping was prompt and the value for what I needed these for was spot on. Some duds but not enough to alter the value. Thanks.

Waste of money! This is complete garbage, don’t bother buying anything “gold plated” on the internet. Obviously I wasn’t expecting real gold but at least a tarnish resistant fake gold would’ve sufficed. They all turned black after one wear. Absolutely not worth the price, actually not even worth a dollar. Will not be purchasing from this seller ever again.

Beautiful bright gold earring hooks that are strong and durable. I love them. They are perfect when you need a better quality earring when making your own earrings.

The order arrived and I enjoyed using these hooks to make earrings as gifts for friends. The finish and quality is great.
