best workout game the Wii has to offer...
I found myself in the position that I had gained almost 100 pounds since getting married almost two and a half years ago. With a baby on the way, I thought now was as good a time as any to start losing weight. I set my goals small and started with the Wii Fit but never really felt like I was getting the workout that I needed.Enter "The Biggest Loser". This game is fantastic! After the first use, I could tell that my muscles were actually working. I was sweating intensely. I said to myself, "now THIS is a workout!". Unlike WiiFit, you don't have to work hard at stupid games to unlock other workouts. All of your workouts are there already. You can create a profile and follow the plan that they set for you, or you can do like I do and just select what part of your body you want to work out, along with the intensity and the length of the workout. There are so many exercises to choose from, you will never get bored with this game. Also, if you don't have time to go into a moderate or intense workout (30 to 45 minutes), you can do a light workout and still feel like you are getting something done. It also has a bunch of extras like calorie counters and a cookbook that you can pull recipes from, but personally, I chose to use WeightWatchers and find that it works much better for someone that is "on the go".The only two gripes that I have with this game is the actual Biggest Loser aspect. You get pitted against imaginary characters and if you don't "perform" to the games likings, you get eliminated. I was eliminated after two weeks. Now I just use the workouts and not the profile. I also found that using the balance board hindered my workouts somewhat. Now I just use the remote and don't feel limited to my space, it just feels like a good workout. It is another plus though that you can either use both or just the remote.I can happily say that with the help of WeightWatchers and The Biggest Loser Wii, I have lost 38 pounds in 6 weeks! I could have never guessed in a million years that a video game would help me lose weight but I'm here to tell you it can happen! Thanks Biggest Loser!

Fun and Effective
I got this a few days ago and I really enjoy it. I don't have a Wii Fit, but even without it I have been finding it a lot of fun. It's a full program which is nice and has a lot to offer so you don't get bored. What's nice about this is it has a lot of workouts with different intensities, lengths and ares that it targets. You can also do challenges that can help you reach the goals you want to obtain just like the show. The program is simalar to ES Active, as it incorporates circuit training to acheive results. You will alternate doing cardio with resistance. It doesn't use any sort of resistance tools. but don't be fooled as it's a great workout. Please do note that you do need to go at the pace of the trainer. If you dont it won't read as acurately which will affect your rating and calorie burn. The only thing and I think it's kind of annoying is the the part where it says to put the remote in your pocket. Well....I have a lot of yoga pants and they don't have pockets. I do have the leg strap from EA Active (another great workout) so I just use that and it does work and hold the remote securely. I don't know if the creators of EA Active would like to hear that. LOL If I have any suggestion for the creators of this game it would be to incorporate some belt or clip for the remote to secure it to your waist.Anyway, I do like the this a lot and will do this along with my ea sports. I will update it when I am done with the challenge I am making myself do to let you know the long term results.

Big Fan of the Show, Big Fan of the Wii... Great Combo!
I just received the game from Amazon today. I popped it in, and decided to start with a 4 week fitness plan. My first workout was classified as light (19 minutes), and then an 8 minute cool-down. I really liked it a lot. I felt like it was challenging enough to get started and I was sweating by the end of my workout. (Even though it was "light", it still makes you sweat.) I did a full body circuit workout and it included the following: jogging in place, mountain climbers, jump rope, lateral side lunges, punches, plank twists, backwards lunges, more jump rope, and then it repeated everything over again. Just for fun I did a quick 12 minute yoga session with Bob and that was cool too. He takes you through Warrior 1, Warrior 2, plank pose, side planks (on each side), deep breathing, downward facing dog, and some lateral side stretches. It's not as "flowy" as I like my yoga workouts to be because there is some pauses between moves, but overall it was a nice way to end my session. If you like this show, and like this game, it's a great combination, and a definite plus to have in your workout collection!
