become a dressing chef!
This emulsifier takes homemade salad dressing to the next level! If you look at the bottle dressings,-- wow, there are a lot of things you can't pronounce. When you make your own it tastes so fresh- I used orange juice, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and herbs. I find the emulstir works best when you press the very bottom of the lever. It must have something to do with torque, or some other force of nature. Anyway, it's easy to find salad dressing recipes online, and if you can't there are some written right on the glass bottle of the emulsifier. Get it! It's fun.

Loved it but broke after 1 year
We had seen the product in many kitchen stores and we had been told by a friend/chef that it's useful so we purchased it. We loved the product and used it quite often and would have given it 5 stars but it only lasted 1 year. We used it to keep our home made dressing but you have to take it out before using because the dressing/oil can get hard in the refrigerator. The push handle seemed to work okay but some mechanism btw the handle and the stirring green stick thing broke and now we just basically have a dressing jar. Very very disappointed with how cheap the plastic pieces are. We took very good care of it - but only lasted 1 year. So think about that before you buy.

1 month of love.
thought enough of this product I decided to buy one for my workplace also, but before I got around to it the mechanism broke, or came apart somehow. Clearly the issue is that you can apply more force to the handle than the inner linkage can withstand, so keep your dressings watery and warm and you will be fine. If you use oil and put this device into a refrigerator the oil will get thick and probably present more resistance to the mixing blade than it can take. After writing the review I took this disappointing device to the shop and bandsawed the top off. The autopsy revealed the underlying structural flaw, the squeeze lever divides into two arms forming a long 'U' shape, with the right arm running in a guide groove and the left arm pinned to a geared track. The track moves back and forth against a gear which is at the top of the mixing blade, spinning the blade. If you squeeze too hard on the handle the arms of the 'U' tend to bend together and jump out of the guide groove and then detach from the gear track. This is not repairable. The solution would be to provide a support that closes the 'U' and prevents the arms from bending inward and jumping out of the track.Again, thin dressings that are not refrigerated and are mixed using light pressure will result in a longer life than thicker dressings requiring more force than this delicate device can take.

Love it
It was inexpensive but easy to use and very effective in mixing salad dressings. It even has good recipes on the jar section.

easy recipe guide and concept Cons
We have had 3 of these and they all broke in short order.Pros: easy recipe guide and conceptCons: You cannot shake the bottle even with the little cap or dressing goes everywhere, The mixing spoon detaches from the spindle and you have to dig it out of the bottle, the gasket dry rots quickly and then the lid will not stay down whether in the locked position or not. These issues were constant in all of the spinners we had.Solution- we reverted to a glass dressing bottle with a cork stopper. I wish this thing was more robust particularly considering price.

Great product!
Mixes really well and doesn't leave messy drips on the side of the bottle. I've only used it for oil & vinegar based dressings and it works perfect. The dressing does tend to coagulate in the fridge, but leaving it on counter for a few minutes before using it helps. Also, after reading the reviews, I've been very careful not to lose the little cap.

Fragile but guaranteed for life
It's great at emulsifying salad dressing, though you need some strength in your grip to make it work, especially if you want to stir ingredients straight out of the refrigerator. But it is fragile.I've bought 2 so far and the handle broke both times. The second time I wrote to Chef'n and they sent me a new one. Some months later that broke also; I wrote again and they again sent a new one. Last week - guess what? Handle broke. I wrote to them, and they still have a lifetime guarantee, so they will send me another.I don't know how they make money out of this, but as long as they keep on replacing them, I will keep on using them...

Chef'n Emulstir, Emulsifier and Salad Dressing Mixer
A friend showed us her Chef'n Emulstir mixer and my daughter immediately wanted one. I bought it for her for a gift, as I wanted to make sure I would use it before I purchased one for myself. It works great and is easy to clean. I will have to go and buy my own now.

Super
This came quickly and is exactly what we wanted. We had bought one exactly the same, in our town for twice the price. This works so well to mix vinaigrette dressings for salad and is super durable!

Great for mixing and storing dressing
Great for mixing and storing dressing. My only beef is that it is difficult to wash due to the narrow neck.
