Fit's the Lippert generation 4 steps, needs better quality fasteners
This also fits the Generation 4 Triple Lippert three step. The generation 4 doesn't require any drilling. Installation was easy but installing the fasteners was kind of awkward. One thing that I would suggest is to buy some good hardware to install it. If I were to install it again I would buy some quality stainless steel fasteners. I was VERY careful not to over torque the fasteners using a 1/4 drive ratchet and stripped one of the #10 bolts. It's sturdy enough to steady yourself going up and down the steps.

Works great!
Once we figured out the best place on the stairs, to install the rail, it was easy. Hardest part of installation is needing to drill the holes, it doesn’t come pre-drilled. However, it’s probably a good idea that it didn’t, because it could vary depending on your stairs. We placed the rail so it gave us maximum use for additional safety going up or down the stairs and so it didn’t interfere with folding the steps inside while traveling. Make sure you consider both before drilling holes. Taking the rail off while traveling then putting it back on later can be a pain. It an unnecessary step when setting-up or packing-up.

Very well designed total package, pretty strong
This is a very well designed package. My trailer doesn't actually have the holes to be able to just bolt on both brackets. But it could be installed on any trailer steps by anyone who's competent with a power drill, screwdrivers and pliers for wrenches. It includes the rail itself, two brackets that the rail will slide into, screws to attract the brackets to the steps cotter pins to secure the rail to the brackets, which allows you to easily remove and reattach the rail if you need to and a stabilizer plate that you can attached to the steps on the opposite side of the step brace that you attach the rail brackets to, all of the machine screws, washers and the nuts needed to install it and pretty good instructions on how to do so. The real is pretty strong and sturdy, especially with the stabilizing plate attached. There is a little bit of play because the real is inserted into the brackets; not welded to them, but it's not enough to be a problem. You could even install these on sturdy collapsing stairs. But you would have to remove the rail from the brackets each time that you folded up the stairs.

Wish we had bought this sooner!
Bought our 2021 Apex Ultra-Lite 293RLDS TT (travel trailer) last year and as the first and only owners, we haven't had an opportunity to make many updates/modifications yet. This handrail was this first accessory I wanted to add but I put it off because of the cost.Boy, was I a fool. The variety of campgrounds we took our TT to ended up having the steps extended nearly to the maximum and we even had to add a step stool to the last step to add additional stability. My mom REALLY could have benefited from this handrail last year. And when I finally tried to order it, Lippert was out of stock on their website so I snatched it up here on Amazon. This is seriously one of the best upgrades we've made to the TT yet.I love that you don't have to remove the handrail when you put the steps away. That is such a great feature. My next investment will be the assisted lift so mom can pull the steps in and out herself, but that's a whole different review. As far as installation, since I purchased the product online and I'm too lazy to install them myself, I tok the steps in the original box to the dealership and for $110 or so, they did the installation. I have an extended warranty on my TT which requires everything to be professionally installed. I didn't mind paying for labor but that's just me keeping the economy moving forward.Bottom line here...If you have someone who needs a little extra assistance getting in and out of the camper/TT this handrail will do the job well. It's a simple solution and if you're handy enough to install it yourself, it's not all that expensive to give yourself some peace of mind.

Should have come with the trailer
The handrail is an absolute necessity for your safety. My wife and I were unsure on the steps. The rail provided did not reach far enough down. This filled the gap. I found it easy to install with the provided screws. I did have to drill some holes. In use, the handrail does move, however, I pulled on it and am confident it will not detach. It is a comfort to grab and then switch to the rail close to the door.Worth the money.

Stability and easy storage
I've seen these types of steps mounted on other RVs. They looked like a great idea in safety. I thought they would be too expensive or require an RV dealer installation. In fact, a relative paid $1,000 extra per door to have the dealer mounted them on their new Montana 5th wheel. So glad I searched Amazon, because these steps are bargain, worth every penny in stability, ease of storage and simple installation. I was looking at another step manufacture's product line and became confused about which model would fit our travel trailer. I discovered the LCI brand was the easiest to determine the correct width for our trailer door and offered simple, easy installation. The steps are very adjustable for the door width lock in lever and the step extension feet. The older my wife and I get, the more we appreciate new products like this!
