It works very well. I've used this tape for 3 years or so.

I used KT tapes to keep my knees from sagging. I went through several brands and none of them held up to use and friction and rubbing from clothes and stretching. The precut lengths are a bit on the longer side than needed but it makes life easier to apply and peel off. Application was easy and it has a fair bit of stretch needed. These held up well and didn’t rolled over when rubbing against my pants when walking. The adhesives are EXTREMELY sticky; so sticky that there’ll be a little discomfort when peeling it off.

I had had knee surgery and was getting a lot of swelling. I had been taking anti-inflammatories, but they started to wear at my stomach lining, so I needed an alternative. In addition to icing my knee after every workout, I have been applying this tape pretty regularly. If you clean the area of any body oils, the tape can last up to a week (unless it's rubbed off my clothing... jeans are not compatible, at least for me). The precut tapes are the perfect size for my knee issues. I always thought KT tape was a gimmick, but after surgery, I had a bruise the size of my palm on my shin, and my PT put a lattice of KT tape over the area and the bruising cleared up completely within a couple days only in the area that was taped. It's not a miracle worker, but KT tape clearly has some effect in (at least some superficial) circulation. I wouldn't use it to "support" you, but it'll definitely help with muscle recovery by improving circulation in the areas it covers.

The KT Classic Cotton Tape was excellent at reducing the pain and supporting my biceps tendon. However, the reason for the 4 not 5 stars is that the adhesive was too strong and this strip never came off by itself. I had expected it to begin to fall off 2-3 days as had happened with one my therapist had applied. After a week I finally removed it and my skin was quite irritated. I will not try this particular version again. Perhaps there is another version that has a weaker adhesive?

I first learned of these strips from my orthopedic surgeon. And back then I used them for carpal tunnel symptoms as well as tennis elbow symptoms. Being a former runner in my youth, I'm now dealing with a lot of pain around my patellar tendon area. I have been using compression sleeves for this without any luck. That also ended up hurting other areas on the back of my knees. And I got to thinking, KT tape. I did research on how to use this tape for my knees. I do not by any means recommend anyone to diagnose their own symptoms etc. But I can tell you, I am now in my 60's and this definitely did the trick for me. This is amazing tape for aches and pains that do not require surgery. I am now able to walk better and do more things that I haven't done in a while. Make sure to see your doctor for severe injuries. This tape did give me back my legs so I could walk without hurting after a 30 minute grocery store run etc. And if applied correctly, I can shower a day or two and it still sticks. Thank you for this tape. I can see why athletes use this.
