Any nectar that doesn’t have artificial coloring in it and if formulated for hummingbirds is good in my book. This brand is easy to mix and costs less that the pure-mixed.

This has been a game changer for me. Lasts longer with almost minimal decay or degradation, dissolves easily and the hummingbirds like it. I was using table sugar prior to this.

Easy to use

Wile I can't really comment on whether the hummingbirds like this more than other brands, it was fairly easy to mix when I figured out the measurements. While it has a chart for oz of liquid and Tbsp of concentrate, it does not have more common measurements like cups per gallon for example. If you're like me, I make this nectar in a gallon container and would prefer a simple cups per gallon or even a cups per liter (so you could mix up in a common 2L bottle. This package makes 192 fl oz (or 1.5 gallons) of nectar. I like that it's color-free as I've read that's better for the birds and my feeders are already colored to I don't need a red liquid. It dissolved well in warm water and is nice and clear in the feeders.

This clear nectar powder is the only kind I’ve used for 10+ years. The hummers Iove it, it’s easily mixed (in warm water) and there are NO red excrement trails as they fly away!I only wish the product came in some type of reclosable bag and that the powder:water ‘recipe’ chart was in larger print. (All easily remedied with a magnifying glass, jotting it down on a Post-it and storing THAT, and the manufacturer’s bag, inside of my own Zip-loc).I trust that Perky Pet knows what the birds need — beyond making my own, messy sugar mix — and will continue to buy only this.

Works

It seems that the hummingbirds do not like it. I normally get three to four birds. Now I get none. I will use Domino sugar and make my own.
